We had the good fortune of connecting with Christi Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christi, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity. In a world so full of so much fake, always be authentic.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My favorite line of jewelry is the necklaces I make from Texas River rock! I source small pieces of quartz and jasper from different creeks/rivers/lakes right here in Texas. It started as only arrowhead hunting and before I knew it I had bought a rock tumbler and it was OVER when that first batch of gemstones came out so shiny! I learned how to wire wrap and dove head first into learning everything I could about healing properties of crystals and high vibration metals to house them in. My stones are never glued into a setting and have all the freedom to “do their job”. And the soul cleansing I experience while I’m in the river can’t be bought. These are only available for purchase in person and not online.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live on a beautiful lake east of DFW, so we would definitely cook out, visit, laugh so much and take the row boat out for sunset on the water. There are no words for these Texas sunsets when you’re surrounded by water.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely my children who supported me and survived years of helping to load trailers and cars with totes and canopies and merchandise. I have definitely simplified my process after over a decade of popup markets. As adults they all show up periodically to help me and soak in the good vibes.
