We had the good fortune of connecting with Chloee Rae and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chloee, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks are very important in the entertainment world. Every time you hit the stage , play a role, make an album ect its a risk of people liking or hating what your doing. It is important to be able to take criticism well but not to take it to heart. The point of being an artist is to be able to express yourself & share your soul with whoever you want to see/hear it!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I swear everyone says I started singing as soon as I came out of my moms baby oven lol but took my first vocal lessons at 3 years old. When I was 6 I definitely kicked it up A notch but joining the Caldwell Kids From the Cactus Theater in Lubbock. I was in a few different groups and did solo stuff as well. Being on that stage at The Historic cactus theater really made me want to peruse this journey of being in show biz! When I was 9 I auditioned and joined Septien entertainment here in Dallas. I became a member of the pop girl group The MicroChicks. I love being a part of this group. We practice a lot, it takes up most of my time but I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We make music videos and preform all over the DFW area. We have performed for the Dallas Stars, Jingle Ball, with the Texas Music Project, Allen Americans, House of Blues, Gas Monkey Live, Kidzania, many festivals and charity events.
I also do a lot of acting/dancing with Ovation Academy Performing Arts. I am signed with the Campbell Agency and have gotten to do some awesome things with them as well.
I know attend Allen Ereckson Middle school and just made a Lead in the School musical. It’s really hard sometimes to be an entertainer because people just don’t get it. They don’t get the commitment and dedication for the arts. I have had to miss alot of Sleepovers, parties and holidays because of rehearsals or performances. If you look at it the same way you look at a sport it’s no different than someone wanting to be a basketball/football star . You have to put in the work and time to stand out from the others. When I say entertainment is my life I mean it, it’s all I want to do!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take my friends to Grandscapes in the colony. We would do some karaoke on their main stage, do some shopping and ride the ferris wheel.
We would definitely go to Cherry Blow Dry Bar in Frisco a couple of times during the week to get our hair washed and styled! It’s located at The Star. I love the energy of the Star it’s just so fun and exciting. I love going and playing on the football field with friends or family! It’s always a great area for yummy food and ice cream!
We would definitely go to one of the art installs like the sweet tooth hotel or Rainbow vomit so we could get lots of fun pictures together. I would hope we could squeeze in a day for six flags as well.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank Terri & Cami Caldwell of Caldwell Kids in Lubbock Texas for getting me started in music. I would like to thank my current coaches at Septien Entertainment for working so many hours with me every week the past four years to get me where I am.
CEO/Voice Coach Linda Septien, Guitar/Band Instructor Mike Manning, Director/choreographer Zakk Manzella
I am a member of a girl pop group called The MicroChicks so I definitely have to thank my fellow chick / partner in Crime Taylor Alyne .
