We had the good fortune of connecting with Chloe Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chloe, what do you want your legacy to be?
When I think about what I want people to remember about me, I think of the quote “you are not defined by your past, you are prepared by your past” -Joel Osteen. Coming from a childhood where I was often left to fend for myself due to my parents being addicted to drugs, I was the quiet small town gossip with my community assuming I was a “lost cause,” or I would follow in my parents footsteps. My motivation for excelling In every endeavor I put my mind to whether it be modeling, pageants, academics, etc, comes from wanting to prove people wrong. My message and legacy comes from being the best version of myself. I want those in similar situations to know that they can achieve anything they put their heart and mind to. If anything, my past has made me into the strong, motivated, and independent person I am today. I want those to remember me as the person that was able to bring change to the world, the person that was able to overcome hardships that nobody thought was possible, and the person that speaks up for those that cannot.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career took an amazing start when I was able to graduate high school as a sophomore at the age of 16. Since then, I have been working to complete my associates degree in science, where I will one day pursue my career in nursing. My dream started at the age of six, when my younger sister was born prematurely and diagnosed with cerebral palsy. After being in the hospital with her most of my childhood, I was inspired to be the reason children like her that were not supposed to survive, are able to get a fighting chance at life. My goal is to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being from Sterling, a small town most people have never heard of here in Colorado, there are not very many things to do. If you’re wanting to have fun, the typical thing to do is drive around on dirt back roads listening to music. Since my modeling career has taken off, I have been able to go to some pretty amazing spots here in Denver! One night of Denver Fashion Week was held at the Forney Museum of Transportation. I would absolutely love to go there again! Native Foods Cafe definitely has my heart when it comes to eating, but you can catch me eating KFC every time I make the two and a half hour drive up to Denver! Dave and busters has been my little childhood dream to go to, and still to this day, I love it! It truly does bring out the youthfulness little kid in everybody!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My grandparents deserve every last bit of credit when it comes to my success. I can’t show my appreciation and gratitude enough when it comes to their role in my story. From the time they took me in and raised me when I was four, they have never stopped being supportive and compassionate when it comes to my future. I would not be who I am today without their constant love and guidance along the way. I am forever thankful for everything they have done for me. I love you always!
