We had the good fortune of connecting with Charisma Ebling and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Charisma, how do you think about risk?
Risk has played a huge roll in opening our own business. Aesthetic business becomes a risk if you don’t have a bunch of investors backing you up. When I started in the aesthetic industry I worked for other companies for six years before deciding to open my own business. Medical alone is a big risk, you put your skills to the test with patients who trust you and Expect outcomes sometimes can not be reach. You then add in the products that cost thousand of dollars, and then the lasers that cost hundred thousand dollars. Hiring trustworthy employees is a risk, along with adding liposuction to the service menu. I love being a risk taker because I’m driven to win. I want us to be successful and I am one to make sure the patients are happy. I feel any business you start is a risk taker and many took that to become successful. I took a risk and went to nursing school to be able to care for people and then I too the risk to get into aesthetics. I know me taking that risk has paid off so far and I will Continue to take risk to get our business where I imagine it.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My Husband Dr. George Khalil and I have started Mansfield Aesthetics. What makes us different from everybody is the fact that we have a family owned business we strive to make our clients happy. We put in the education and have train with top doctors form New York and Beverly Hills. Another thing that sets us apart is a fact that I am a trainer in this industry and I have been for seven years now. Most of the med spas in the DFW area have had some type of training from me. I also train for a few different companies of the products we use. I have trained doctors and nurses all over the world. We also are a mix of med spa along with plastic surgery which not many med spas offer.
This was definitely not an easy jump to open the Business. We have had many obstacles throughout the last two years but we have gotten through and grown from them and we continue to grow. We’re looking for another location so that’s another positive. Our goal is to start Branding myself in my business that I do it with my teaching , yet build my husbands surgery practice too.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the DFW area, no matter where you go there so much to see and do. I love the variety of restaurants in Dallas. There are many I feel are entertaining. Some of my favorites is Neighborhood Services and Jose’s off Lovers Lane. Whiskey Cake in Plano is another favorite! I also love to go to places off 7th street in Fort Worth. If it was football season, def have to go watch the Eagles when they come to town!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest shoutout goes to my husband Dr. George Khalil. Without him, we wouldn’t have our business. Our partnership has given us the ability to learn from each other and grow from each other. We have our moments but 90% of the time we are on the same page and we push each other to be the best. My other shout out would be my mom, Betty Ebling. She has always push me to be independent and strive for what I love. She pushed me to keep up with education, and make me a strong women. So many times I failed, and she never got upset but pushed me to find the positive and move forward. I think that makes you a better person when you can not regret past but move forward and be better . I like to shoutout to my dad, Curtis Ebling, he gave me his personality to work hard and be hard and make good business decision. My last shoutout is my kids, Matthias and Zekariah, They are the ones that make me want to get up and be the best person so I can show them how to be successful. I want them to know to follow their dreams and do what makes your happy! Love them for making me such a lovable mom.
