We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie Chantel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe the most important factor behind the success of my brand is that I have always done things that feel true to who I am as a person. When you do things that feel natural to you, you promote those things effortlessly. People can also recognize passion. The genuine love I have for what I am doing attracts and motivates my consumers.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am very proud of the steps I’ve been taking toward improving my performance. As an artist whose primary genre is Hip Hop, playing with a full band and supporting vocalist is not common. Over the course of 2022, I have acquired a full ensemble and am so excited about this permanent change to my live concerts.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly don’t waste any time, go to Deep Ellum! There are so many creative artsy things to see and do in this area. Have a walk, sit underneath a bridge and enjoy the artwork, bar hop or just go eat. You can literally do it all here. It’s my happy place!

Gus’ Fried Chicken – a great quick meal with a vibey aesthetic! the mural art is amazing. You will enjoy food and take cute pics for the gram
Brick & Bones – fancier chicken!

Select Start – It’s a gaming bar and it’s dopeee

The Nines – It’s usual lit! Great DJs

The Freeman – for some soul, neo-soul, rnb, spoken word! They also have a good food menu!

Go to JET AKA Just Electric Transportation if you want to see some of the coolest scooters in the world. I know that may sound uninteresting to some BUT these scooters are nothing like what you think when you hear the word scooter.
ADD Vintage – Dope clothing boutique

Sneaker Politics – has exclusive clothing BUT be prepared to sell your left leg bc it’s expensive lol it’s worth a look around though if you’re a sneakerhead or fashion fan

The Balcony – it’s not in Deep Ellum but they have a dope open mic with live band!

Green Elephant – also not deep ellum but this place is HUGE! Has two stages and has a wide range of cool events from open mics, concerts, to raves

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shout-out to a nonprofit organization called Rabbit Hole Studios. Through their genuine love and support I’ve been able to expand my business even further.
