Meet Carolyn Rayner: Marketing & Advertising Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carolyn Rayner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carolyn, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have always been creative. I started dancing at a very young age and discovered the theatre in high school, then went on to major in theatre and dance in college. I wanted to be an actress and be in musical theatre. I ended up in the advertising and marketing industry which is very creative. It is a fast-paced industry with all sorts of intelligent and creative people including writers, graphic designers, illustrators and photographers. I love the collaborative process of working with a team of creative people to develop a brand and advertising campaigns. I have worked with some of the biggest brands in the world including Coca Cola, Motorola, AT&T and American Airlines.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I founded Full Circle Marketing Services in 2009 during a recession! I wanted to help small to mid-sized companies with their branding and messaging. My business model was one that I would be their own Marketing Director, managing all marketing efforts from Branding, Public Relations, Social Media, Graphic Design, Content and Website management. I think whats sets my business apart from others is relationships. I am all about developing trust and relationships with my clients. It is not about just generating revenue. I want my clients to trust my instincts on what will work for their business. I am always brutally honest with my clients and my company becomes an extension of their company. Running your own business definitely has its challenges; however, I have found through the years that having a good stable of clients that I trust and who trust me is the most rewarding. I have clients that I have worked with for over 20 years. I have grown up with their families and they have grown up with mine.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a Dallas girl born and raised! First of all, I would take them shopping! What is Dallas without shopping? I would take them to Northpark and the Galleria and then downtown to Neiman Marcus and have lunch at the Zodiac room. We would then do a walking tour of downtown visiting historic landmarks such as the JFK memorial and museum. We would then visit Clyde Warren park and the Dallas Museum of Art and have lunch at the original El Fenix downtown for some authentic Tex-Mex. That evening, have cocktails at the top of the rotating Reunion Tower. The next day, take a driving tour around White Rock Lake and have a greasy burger at Keller’s drive in or have a margarita at Marianos Mexican restaurant where the frozen margarita was born! Then visit the Dallas Arboreum to see some beautiful flowers and landscaping, maybe drive by Casa Linda shopping center and Highland Park Village for some architectural delights. That evening, visit Trinity Groves and delight in some Kate Weiser chocolate or have a slice of delicious cake at the Cake Bar. To top the week off, have a Texas sized steak at the original Del Friscos restaurant on Lemmon Avenue. and have a night of theatre at the Wylie theatre downtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would dedicate my shoutout to my sister, Kay. She is an extremely talented artist and graphic designer that introduced me to the advertising and marketing industry after I graduated college. My intention after graduating college was to pursue my acting and dancing career which I did in the early years. We then started an advertising and design firm together which really took off and grew exponentially working with National Brands. I grew to love marketing and branding and that led me to start Full Circle Marketing in 2009. I really wanted to help smaller to mid-size companies create a brand and grow it through messaging, advertising and social media.
