We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Coleman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caleb, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was tired of working for studios that overpriced video production. Perhaps I just found a way to bring high quality videos to businesses for affordable prices. Video is like blogging. It requires constant uploading for businesses to get the most out of its marketing capabilities. And creative brainstorming is what I do best. Clients always say they have no potential content and that’s just incorrect. Everyone has a story.

What should our readers know about your business?
I believe Uptrend Productions sets itself apart from other video studios by being a creative outlet in storytelling- and in budget. We’re able to get our client’s what they need to market themselves on Youtube or their website- even streaming platforms like Hulu. We help them find their story, create a marketing campaign around it and then work a budget that doesn’t bust their bank. The majority of my clients have been with me for over 3 years. That’s what I want…because I hate selling 🙂

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Having done business in Deep Ellum there are several bars and lounges that are fun. I usually insist on ending night at Cafe Brazil for pancakes though. No exceptions.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Carl Thomas of PR Incorporated took me under his wing my first few years of operating on my own. He showed me all the tax stuff and sales lessons that not my forte, being on the creative side. We constantly throw each other business.
