We had the good fortune of connecting with Caitlin Doyle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caitlin, how do you think about risk?
I see risk as an absolute necessity. I would not be where I am today without taking some risks. Moving states away from my parents at 18 was a risk, taking a different path than most with my career was a risk, deviating from the norm, in general, requires risk-taking! But, I would say that the best things in life require taking some risks and they’re almost always worth it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Getting to where I am today was not easy. I faced many obstacles, had a lot of people telling me I couldn’t do it, and had a lot of courses to take. But, perseverance and my tribe got me through all of it! I am a certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, and an Arbonne independent consultant. I also run a wellness blog, “Caitlin.” Some lessons I have learned along this journey to where I am today have been very much to do with believing in yourself. If you take a path that deviates from the norm created by society, you will receive backlash. There will be a lot of people who make snide comments, criticize you, but you need to let those comments go while also allowing them to drive you forward. If people take anything away from my story, I hope they recognize the importance of hard work and maintaining a positive mindset, especially in those moments where you feel like you are failing. It is okay to rest, and it is okay to take a step back in order to refocus your energy and vision. But, do not give up on what gets you up in the morning and makes your soul feel fulfilled. Your limit is your imagination, and there is still a gap between males and females in the workplace. Don’t be afraid to speak your truth and also learn how to let your actions speak for you!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My go-to place in Dallas is Legacy West Plano, specifically Legacy Hall. The vibe there is the absolute best and every booth has amazing food! I spend a good amount of time there on my weekends, typically in the late afternoon/evening. They also have shopping there which, need I say more? Another spot in Dallas is the Dallas Arboretum. My mother and I used to go there on Sunday mornings to walk around and read. It is a beautiful spot and a great place to spend a day! In Rockwall, Texas about 30 minutes from Downtown, there are wonderful spots to check out. Racquet and Jog is an apparel store with all of the products to meet your outdoor needs. Standard Service has the best food in Rockwall and the energy is fantastic!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my parents for always pushing me to be my best. People who believed I couldn’t do “it”, whatever “it” was in the conversation, deserve credit as well. They pushed me to work even harder to reach my goals and dreams! I would also like to thank my friends, they have consistently given me a nudge when I was feeling unmotivated and celebrated with me when I achieved a milestone.
