We had the good fortune of connecting with Cager L. Bradley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cager L., what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

Before I developed this business idea, I had a mindset change. As you grow, your last name starts to mean more than your first name. It becomes more about legacy! With that in mind, I set out to create that legacy.
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. However, I often questioned my success: “What if you fail?” “What if no one believes?” But it was that shift in my mindset that eventually answered those questions. That’s what iLLfit is about. Pursuing your passion! The mindset shifts to one of having the audacity to say: “Who cares if no believes!” “I believe!” After personally experiencing a mindset shift, the business idea itself was there waiting.

What should our readers know about your business?

We are a lifestyle brand! Image. Lifestyle. Legacy. Those 3 components define the name. The image is the clothing aspect. Lifestyle is the mindset you choose. Legacy is the goal. I’m most proud that we’ve built something that applies to every human being! We all should aspire to be Fit. That’s financially, physically and mentally fit!

We officially launched in 2020. A “thing” amongst friends organically turned into a business. Things weren’t always easy. It wasn’t something that we rushed or chased after. It just was the perfect timing. It has not been easy. Definitely a work in progress, but I love the challenge of always having to think creatively. The mindset early on was to try and fail. Everytime I failed, I learned. Keep trying!

What I want to world to know about iLLfit? There’s something more inside of you that’s waiting on YOU!! Change what you see. Change your lifestyle. Embrace who you are and not who society says you should be. Create your own legacy!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The muse behind it all, my wife Yvette. What makes her iLL is the way she approaches life. The balance of what you need to do & what you love to do. She loves fitness! I watch her wake up at 4:30am daily to workout just so she can be back home to get the kids off to school. She fights everyday for that balance. I’m inspired everyday!
