We had the good fortune of connecting with Brook Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brook, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had thought about opening a Med Spa for years and years and just never had the courage or support to do so. I am a nurse so by nature I want to help people improve their quality of life. I had worked in the ER for nearly a decade and was looking for a way to continue to impact lives, just in a different skill set. By finally starting my own business I have been able to not only improve my clients confidence levels but also be able to teach them about all of the different treatments available to them.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Vidal Elevated Aesthetics we strive first and foremost to make you feel comfortable. The Aesthetic world can quickly turn into a mean girl situation and I want everyone to feel welcome whether they are coming in for a consultation to learn about different treatment options or have committed to a long term treatment plan. There are always things that can make you feel more confident in your skin and improve your quality of life!
We specialize in more natural looking supplementations, our goal is for people to not even realize that you have even had anything done! We just want to make them wonder why you look so good!
We offer a wide variety of services from Botox and fillers to bio-stimulators, exosome therapy, microneedling, vitamin injections, IV hydration, weight loss programs, submental fat reduction, laser teeth whitening and medical grade skin care. Most importantly we offer a community of supportive and encouraging clients and faculty who understand the value of trust and compassion.
Oh of course there have been obstacles, there is always a self doubt aspect as well as financial, physical, creative, relationships, the list goes on and on. When I started Vidal Elevated Aesthetics I was still working full time in the Emergency Department as well as managing a home, husband and three children, two of which are my two year old twins! I have come such a long way with my business and I wouldn’t have been able to fulfill my dreams in this way without my amazing husband and support system including my NeoWell family!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anytime we get a chance we are probably going to the Stockyards. We are good ole country people at heart and we feel at home there but we still get to see all of the amazing events and boutiques and fabulous food. We love Canne Rosso, maybe a little bit too much!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Two people come to mind, Deanna Meyer is the owner and founder of NeoWell and has changed countless lives with this company. There are so many nurse injection classes that take your money, give you an 8 hour class and then tell you that it is safe to go and do injections on people! This will always baffle me. At NeoWell they have established a community of kind and supportive nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians that are all dedicated to improving clients quality of life and uplifting each other. I could not have fulfilled my dreams in this way without Deanna, she is the kindest, most encouraging person that always makes everyone in the room feel seen and important.
The second is my amazing husband Wylie, he has supported my dream of opening this Med Spa in ways that are indescribable. He is always there to help me with any project (luckily he’s a contractor), encourages me when self doubt gets in the way and never misses a chance to tell people how proud of me he is. I am so incredibly thankful for him!
