Meet Brittney Williams | CEO & Founder of The Creative Juices Group

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittney, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Being an entrepreneur and pursuing this lifestyle comes with a lot of risk. I’ve always wanted to own my own business and knew that with it ultimately came with many obstacles and would need the necessary dedication to see my success all the way through. I think about risk as both a personal and professional necessity. Without it, you’ll always leave yourself and decisions on the fence of wondering what if? And with taking risks you honestly can never really lose, it’s all about how you look at it. You either accomplished something or you learned from the choices you made by taking that risk.
Risks have played a big role in my life and career. I’ve taken many thus far in my entrepreneurial & creative career journey. I enjoy going against the norm, doing things my way and putting fear to the side and just going for what I want out of life while enjoying the journey along the way.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the CEO/Founder of The Creative Juices Group. An online social space and community I developed for fellow Black Female Creatives, Creatives of color, and #Creativepreneurs. As well, as a Marketing Consultant and Digital Content Creator for Small Businesses and Startups under my personal brand Brittney Williams Marketing Consulting. In which I specialize in helping smaller businesses and startups level up their online and offline Marketing, Content, Branding, and social media, who tend to have smaller budgets compared to much larger companies and brands. Yet, still need to obtain their ultimate Marketing goals.
My story and love for creativity began early on as a child and definitely has grown in so many ways over the years. After obtaining my business and marketing degrees from the University of North Texas. I spent a few years in the corporate world managing and working at various Marketing, Advertising, and PR agencies within the DFW area. Before starting my entrepreneurial journey and beginning my own Marketing Consulting business.
A couple of years ago, I really got the desire and vision to create a women’s community organization for fellow Black Female Creatives and #Creativepreneurs to shine light on their work, services, provide resources and tools to better help them personally and professionally. In addition to developing fun and creative networking events and monthly meetups to have those creative conversations needed and build a real community for female creatives to utilize as a go-to for business and personal growth and to get & stay inspired to help keep those creative juices flowing. Which is primarily how The Creative Juices Group was formed and is continuing to grow daily.
It hasn’t been a smooth road thus far, as beginning any business comes with its challenges. One main one for me in the beginning of developing The Creative Juices Group was simply beginning to run and bring on a 2nd business and the tasks that come with it. However, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
The company and brand is continuing to grow daily and we have a lot of great things in store for our creative community. Which means continuing to expand my team and being able to take it to new levels. That for sure will require more from my end and any challenges or obstacles that I am prepared to tackle along the way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my childhood bestfriend were in town I would for sure have to hit up some of my favorite food, drink and hang out spots in the Dallas area. Our weekly itinerary would include a few choices from: LoLo’s Chicken & Waffles (Brunch), Mash’d (Brunch), Kitchen & Kocktails (Dinner) Val’s Cheescake (Dessert) Shell Shack (Seafood) Grand Lux (Dinner) Nekter (juice bar), Piada (lunch) STIRR (Happy Hour), Sprinkles(Dessert), Soul Cycle (exercise) Trinity Groves (Food, Drinks, Dessert) , The Galleria Mall, Blue Sushi Sake and Grill, Uptown or Downtown Dallas (night out) Texas Live (night out) Fuel City (late night snack) Legacy Food Hall(Dinner/Drinks/Chill night out) Fast & Furious (lunch) , Saint Ann (drinks/patio), Twisted Root Burger, Alamo Drafthouse (Dinner & Movie), Virtruvian Way (walk/exercise trail).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I have major love and support from The Creative Juices Group audience and definitely have to credit them in my story. Their support keeps me even more motivated and mindful of my WHY & the reason I developed this platform for them. I am doing this to continue to create that space for more creatives to be seen, heard and recognized for their voices in the creative community and their amazing talents.
As well as, my family and close friends who have also encouraged and supported me over the years throughout each of my business journeys.
