We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Dunn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, what inspires you?
Living an inspired life is at the core of who I am. My faith is the center of my inspiration when it comes to my businesses, my family, my relationships, and how I would like the world to perceive me. I want to be a source of joy for every person that I meet. Thats why I find so much happiness in selling real estate and managing vacation rentals. When I walk into one of our vacation rentals, I can truly feel the joy inside the room. I know families and friends have spent countless hours making memories that will last a lifetime and the value in that is never lost on me. I love knowing that I play a very small role in someone else’s best memories of the year.
Now when it comes to selling real estate it is the same motive, but it looks a little different. I know that buying or selling a home is a big decision and that our transaction will be memorable. My goal is to be an educated and prepared representation of my clients desires and needs. At the end of our transaction I want my clients to look back and know that I went the extra mile to alleviate their stress and carry their burdens so that they could find joy in this exciting new chapter.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe I have had success with my vacation rental business because my inspiration and what drives me has ALWAYS been the guest experience. I will always invest back into my properties and amenities so that I can assure my guest will have a beautiful and carefree experience at one of our properties. Another key to my success has been the relationships I have built with my support staff. I could not host people day in and day out while being thirteen hours away without them. I believe it is so important to take care of a good employee when you find one because they could be the difference between a failing business and a thriving one.
When it comes to selling real estate, the goal is the same: to help people get what they want, help them enjoy the process, and leave a positive impact. The more educated I am on the market, the contract, and the process the better advocate I am for my client.
In either business the model is the same- value relationships over everything else and success will inevitably follow.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I LOVE where I live! Bartlesville is the biggest/littlest town you’ll ever visit. It’s my Mayberry! I’m surrounded by creative and talented entrepreneurs who provide our town with big city amenities. If I were to showoff Bartlesville to a friend that came to town, I would start it off by jumping into my 67 convertible Delta 88 and go to brunch at Frank and Lola’s. Then we would grab some coffee from one of our cute coffee shops and cruise through our beautiful downtown district checking out the park at Unity Square. There we will see Frank Lloyd Wright’s only skyscraper-Price Tower. After a cruise through town, we would head west through the gorgeous rolling plains of the Osage. We would grab a treat from Pioneer Woman’s mercantile and do some shopping in Pawhuska’s cute and quirky downtown. On our way home we would take the scenic route. Cruising through Bowering and across Hulah Dam and Copan Dam and eventually end up at my favorite restaurant- The Copan Truckstop where we would eat THE BEST chicken fried steak and onion rings!
The day is sure to leave my friend’s heart feeling charmed and their bellies feeling full.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be where I am today without God, my husband, and my mom. However, I want to dedicate my shoutout to my mom because I absolutely would not be where I am today in real estate if it was not for her encouraging me to take risks, be bold, stand confidently behind your decisions, and BELIEVE in your big dreams. She instilled deep down inside of me the importance of being positive and failing forward. For 33 years, I have witnessed my mom chase down big dreams and big accomplishments by simply outworking the competition. However, her resume and her accolades are the least impressive thing about her in my opinion. It’s her desire to coach people and watch them succeed that has left the biggest impact on me. She is passionate about helping people find their “why” and then helping them set attainable goals that push them to be their best. I know how blessed I am to have someone like that be in my corner.
