We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Chike and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I always desired to want to become an entrepreneur and become my boss. Wanting to have something that I can proudly say is mine and implement my passion for fashion into the business. Wanting to have multiple sources of income to pass on generationally and building a foundation to start from. Becoming the 1st business owner in my family and making my parents proud.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Brittme Collection is an online clothing boutique. From streetwear to a girl’s night out! You’ll find your outfit that calls your name! Brittme Collection focuses on not having to sacrifice your comfortability to be sexy. You can have the best of both worlds. The process of getting this business was not easy and way harder than originally expected. I overcame the challenges by doing a lot of research and getting into contact with the right people, and to this day I’m still learning new things. The biggest lesson that I’ve learned throughout this whole process is that patience is key. I want the world to know that Brittme Collection is evolving for the better! Shopping in my store means more than anyone can imagine. I’m grateful to have this opportunity to give you guys an insight into who I am, where I come from, and my business, Brittme Collection.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t go out much due to being a college student ( I’ll be graduating May 2022), and running my business. So from the little that I have experience of to go out to eat I would definitely take them to Texas de Brazil because that’s my favorite restaurant. For a good time I would find a find a spot in Deep Ellum!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents and siblings I owe a lot to for all the motivation, advice, and support that they’ve given to me. They saw something in me that I couldn’t even see in myself at the very beginning. I owe a lot to them.
