Hi Brittani, how do you think about risk?
I visualize risk as a bridge to success. Without risk their would be no activation behind someone’s aspirations; in either their personal or career life. Risk provides the opportunity to exercise faith without knowing the outcome. I believe this is where life’s greatest achievements happen. Often times people identify “risk” as a negative word intertwined with the heavy meaning of possible loss or hurt. Instead the word “risk” should be affiliated with the power of opportunity. Through my relationship in Christ, I have learned that God works in His own way at His own pace and He has called us to trust Him in all phases of the process. Faith can be risky business, but you are living a life of loss if you do not activate your opportunity to grow; a product of risk and determination. After working for five years as a special education teacher, I took a risk and left my educational career to open my own business and pursue my brand. My business is called Reborn Interior Designs and I specialize in furniture transformation, customized signs, and much more. Beyond the merchandise, REBORN shares a message to be uniquely you. God has a unique plan for each and everyone of us, and I believe that needs to be shared with others. YOU MATTER! YOU ARE LOVED! YOU ARE UNIQUE! Starting my own business has been a life-changing risk, and I am very thankful to be able to see the different phases come together as they are now. I hope my story is an inspiration to others who need to be reminded that you have a purpose and are uniquely valuable.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is Reborn Interior Designs, I specialize in furniture transformation, customized signs, and all things creative! The message behind Reborn is that we all are uniquely created with purpose and intent. I like to create and transform items to show that beauty can come from what others see as “worthless”. Just as God sees us as treasure even when we see ourselves as “not enough”. It has taken many hours of dedication and hard work to accomplish what I have thus far with my business. And at times it can be discouraging, but I always try to push through knowing that I could inspire someone else to continue to grind in their own adversity. Traveling my journey up to now, I have learned that failures must be embraced and used as fuel to overcome obstacles. I would like to let the world know that I love all people of all color, culture, and background and that I pray for unity and love to spread over our nation! Also would like to encourage others to chase their dreams! Don’t be afraid, be fearless, be uniquely you!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In the city of Rockwall there are many activities to engage in! I would encourage anyone visiting to make a trip to Lake Ray Hubbard and rent a pair of jet-skis or a boat for a few hours, then end with dinner and sunset at one of the amazing restaurants off the harbor next to the lake. There are also small boutiques and stores in the downtown square, along with many scenic hiking trails throughout the city. It is a great place to visit with family!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my amazing husband Jordan and our two handsome sons Tre and Miles. They are my daily encouragement and without them I wouldn’t have made it this far! I am forever grateful for their unending love and support . I would also like to send love to two special women, my grandmother Deborah and auntie Cyndi. They have instilled in me the importance of Christ in our lives and have lead through example. Thank you to all who have supported me through my journey!
