We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Mikail and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I’ve had to redefine what balance truly means for me. Running a business is challenging, but balancing it alongside school and being a full-time flight attendant takes it to another level. I’ve realized that a perfectly equal balance across all areas of my life isn’t realistic. Instead, I’ve learned to embrace fluidity, some days Iced Out Snoballs gets 75% of my time, while other days, it may only get 5%. Rather than striving for rigid balance, I take it day by day, prioritizing what needs my focus the most. This mindset shift has allowed me to be more present, productive, and intentional with my time.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve gotten to where I am today through pure hard work, faith, and unwavering dedication to my vision. I didn’t have a blueprint for starting, owning, or operating a business. I didn’t have thousands of dollars sitting in my bank account or a step-by-step guide to follow, I just had a purpose filled vision : to bring families and communities together through a simple, sweet treat.

Starting Iced Out Snoballs wasn’t easy. There were moments of uncertainty, financial challenges, and times when the vision felt too big, but I’ve learned that when your dream scares you, it’s a sign you’re on the right path. As Andrew van der Bÿl said, “If your vision doesn’t scare you, then both your vision and your God are too small.” This quote defines my journey. I serve a mighty God, and because of Him, Iced Out Snoballs exists today and my journey is proof that with faith, perseverance, and community, anything is achievable.

Iced Out Snoballs is more than just a shaved ice business, it’s an experience. We specialize in authentic New Orleans-style snoballs, made with soft, fluffy ice and bold, handcrafted flavors created with 100% pure cane sugar. But what truly sets us apart is our customization. From candy toppings to stuffed snoballs with ice cream, every treat is designed to be as unique as our customers.
We believe in the power of connection. Food is deeply tied to memories, and we strive to create a space where families, friends, and communities come together over a sweet treat.
Our mission extends beyond snoballs we’re here to build community, create generational wealth, and inspire the next generation. Through our business, we give back, mentor, and provide opportunities to those around us. From local events to major stadiums and airports, we’re on a journey to become the #1 shaved ice brand in the country!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh, we’re kicking off the trip with a bang—starting at an authentic Mexican restaurant because there’s no better way to begin a trip than with delicious tacos and margaritas! After that, we’re heading down to the lake for a karaoke on the boat singing at the top of our lungs while soaking in the views.

Next, we’re hitting Top Golf to test our swing (and probably embarrass ourselves in the best way possible). After working up an appetite, it’s time to explore some of the best local food spots—BBQ, brunch, or maybe even a late-night diner run.

Of course, we’re ending the night back at my house for more karaoke—because, let’s be real, wherever there’s a mic, you’ll find us belting out horribly off-key songs.

Throughout the week, we’d make stops at some must-visit spots:
✨ A fun rooftop bar or speakeasy for drinks with a view
✨ Hit up a Dallas Mavs game or live music venue to catch some local energy
✨ A spa day or relaxing brunch because balance is key

No matter what, the trip would be full of laughter, good food, and unforgettable moments. If you’re rolling with me, you better be ready for a good time!

Absolutely! First and foremost, my mother, without her, none of this would be possible. She has been my biggest supporter, guiding me through every step of this journey with unwavering love and wisdom. Her sacrifices and encouragement have shaped me into the person I am today.
