We had the good fortune of connecting with Briana Seless and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Briana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When i started my business i really didn’t have much of a thought process behind it. I had been looking for something to do, something I could be passionate about & love, being a stay at home mom for the first time I just felt like I wanted to do something of my own and build something that could be great. I craved cake a lot when I was pregnant with my first daughter so i started to bake my own little cakes in pans and just throw some frosting on top. One night i was like hmmm I’m going to try to decorate this cake and that’s what started it all honestly. I realized that this is what I really enjoyed doing & if i kept Trying i could do more and even get better at decorating cakes. I started slowly making cakes for friends & family even had a strawberry sale for Valentine’s day and i just really enjoyed it so much and had so much support for my first sale that it pushed me to keep Going and has brought me to where i am today and I’m forever grateful.

What should our readers know about your business?
Starting a business definitely isn’t easy there’s always going to be challenges that you have to learn to overcome and just take as a lesson. I feel like my personality is what sets me apart from others. I’m a very understanding person, creative, patient and always wants to put someone else’s needs before my own and I feel Like in a business that helps me because my customers always feel like they are first and that they are taken care of when coming to me and know that I’ll do my best to bring their visions to life.
I’ve had many challenges since starting my business two years ago but every challenge has shaped me into the business owner I am today and has taught me something along the way and I’m grateful for every challenge that I’ve overcome because without a challenge how is one suppose to learn and grow ?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly when it comes to Seless Sweetz i owe so much thanks to so many people, my customers, & especially to my boyfriend, family & friends. Everyone has been so supportive of me and my business since I started and always finds way to lift me up when i can’t do it myself.
My customers I have some that have trusted me since the beginning and still till this day choose me for all their events and it means the world to me because that’s what keeps Seless Sweetz going that’s what I love to be able to build those relationships and know that what I’m doing someone is thankful for & loves.
The love and support i receive from my boyfriend, family and friends whether it’s sharing a post, telling their friends, buying me baking supplies they see because they know I’ll use it one day or even just letting me know that I’m doing a great job it all helps me so much and pushes me to keep going and to keep Seless’ Sweetz going because honestly without my customers, boyfriend, family or friends I wouldn’t be where I’m at today & neither would my business.
I’m also so thankful for my daughter I feel like since she was born she’s pushed me to be this person who wants so much for herself and the people around her and helped me step out of my comfort zone and I just never knew I had that in me she gave me that extra push that was needed because I never saw myself being where I am today let alone with a business.
