We had the good fortune of connecting with Breonna Gildon Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Breonna, why did you pursue a creative career?
My faith has helped me to remain creative! According to Genesis 1:27, I believe I am created in the image of God. Because of this truth, I have the confidence to affirm biblical truths to help encourage myself and others by spreading the gospel.

My nieces and nephews are my biggest motivators! I want to be able to show them anything is possible with God. In fact, it was one of my nieces ideas for me to create a TikTok account. Unbeknownst to her, I had recently prayed for help to connect younger generations (GenZ specifically) to Christ. I would have never imagined the impact I would help make within two years. Since starting the account, God has helped me to encourage well over 300,000 people with video views. As well as growing a massive 500 email subscribers within the first year. I am really grateful for everything God has helped me to accomplish online and am looking forward to more great things to come as well!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Currently, I have been pretty busy working behind the scenes within the business I help lead which is Empower Her Ministries! Our business helps to provide faith-based resources to help women grow stronger in faith. We recently held our first ever scholarship giveaway! We also made many updates to our website which includes our faith-based affirmation cards, freebies, e-guides, and more.

I enjoy spreading gospel content in a fun way on social media as well. I understand how it is to choose Christ for the first time. I also understand how it is to start over again as a believer. And, let me tell you, it is not easy! The content God helps me to share I believe helps to inspire those who are new to faith or those who simply need a spiritual boost. There are times where the content I post is a simple prayer or random skits that make people laugh. Either way, I have fun while watching people grow in faith!

I am most proud of the individuals who were inspired to get baptized by watching my baptism video that went viral on TikTok. I made the decision to get baptized for the second time in 2021. I decided to get baptized for a second time because I really wanted to go public with my choice to really choose Christ.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hotworx! I really enjoy their workout facilities. I would also add Toyota Music Factory. There is always a great event occurring there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
For this interview, I would like to first acknowledge God. Without God, I am nothing. I would also like to acknowledge all of my nieces and nephews! I believe there are a total of fifteen. I love them all!!! Of course, I would like to thank my household, family, friends, and church.
