Meet Breanna Bowdy | Natural Hair care Specialist & Silk Press Master

We had the good fortune of connecting with Breanna Bowdy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Breanna, what inspires you?
Honestly, it’s the look of relief I see on my client’s faces when they sit in my chair and sense that they are in good hands. As soon as I touch their hair, I feel all tension and worry rapidly fade away. From the wash to the blow-dry, press, and style, all worries and concerns are washed away as they relax and no longer have fear and or uncertainty of the luscious locks that now flowing through my hands with ease. most of my clients have gotten their hair done before but very few have received a luxurious treatment or lavish haircare experience. yet, the most inspiring portion of it all is when I finally turn them towards the mirror and reveal what has been created with just a little love, patience, and knowledge. Sometimes I get hugs many times it may even be tears of unexplainable joy but that’s what inspires me every day to wake up and change lives, making natural haired women feel beautiful with the hair they are blessed with is a business I wanna be in for the rest of my life.

What should our readers know about your business?
I provide natural-haired women with a luxurious hair care experience, making sure every detail is personally tailored to their own hair care needs. From individually curated scalp treatments, essential oil-infused steam treatments, invigorating scalp massages, and more. it took a lot of research and trial and error to create effective solutions to our most common and trivial hair concerns. natural hair is not cookie-cutter work! what may help good sis over here may not be the solution that is right for you. but no worries that’s why I treat every client differently to make sure that they receive all the treatments they need and none of the ones they don’t. Now that natural hair is making a splash in the media again more and more women are starting to get their hair health back on track. We are creating regimens and keeping scheduled appointments this year and making sure that we treat our natural hair just as we do our protective styles.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of my favorite places to chill unwind is a black-owned coffee shop called soiree in the trinity groves area of Dallas. It is jazz-themed and plays a wide range of neo-soul and RnB music. It has a coffee drink creations name after some of the biggest artist in jazz music and also a bar! Not to mention the brunch on the weekends is pretty bomb too.
There’s also a little place called Mexican sugar in Irving that is spot on! their margarita flight is amazing (the salted watermelon is my favorite) the lump crab enchiladas are amazing and so is the steak and chicken fajitas. they also have a heated outside patio that is just to die for.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shout-out to my amazing support system, My mother, My Sister, my Partner, and my close friends.
