We are a Salon Company that focuses on healthy hair care, with a specialty in natural hair care. We are a salon company rooted in the art and science of healthy hair care, with a distinct specialty in natural textures. What truly sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to creating a space where every individual feels empowered to embrace and celebrate their hair in all its natural beauty. Our goal is to offer an elevated, holistic experience—one that goes beyond a service and becomes a journey of self-love and transformation.

We invest in specialized education for both our service providers and our guests, focusing on the unique needs of natural hair—including coils, twists, braids, locs, children’s hair care, and more. Every guest begins with a thorough consultation where we listen with intention, uncovering their challenges and offering practical, personalized solutions. We believe in building lasting relationships, not just providing one-time services. That’s why we follow up with our guests, ensuring they feel confident and equipped to care for their hair at home. This journey has been long and winding, filled with triumphs and trials, moments of joy, and seasons of sacrifice. No, it has not been easy—but it has been deeply worth it. For the first eight years, I worked a full-time job while simultaneously building the salon. It required immense sacrifice—financially, emotionally—and my family, especially, bore the weight of those early days. There were times I worked 6 to 7 days a week. In the beginning, I didn’t pay myself, and the salon didn’t yet turn a profit. Through it all, I held fast to my faith, to my husband’s unwavering support, and to my Why.

I firmly believe that God created us beautifully and intentionally, just as we are. It is my passion and purpose to help others embrace their naturally beautiful hair and see the beauty in their reflection. I also believe that beauty professionals deserve recognition—we are skilled, educated, business-minded, and make a meaningful impact in the lives we touch. Remembering my Why has carried me through the most difficult seasons, and it continues to guide me each day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s really no particular place! We would probably visit a bookstore, do some shopping and enjoy some food at a few black owned restaurants.

I would like to dedicate this special shoutout to my beloved husband, Attorney Willie Stephens, Jr. For the past 16 years of our marriage, he has stood beside me as my greatest supporter and unwavering encourager. It was through his steadfast belief in me that I found the courage to take the leap and pursue my dream of building a business. As an entrepreneur himself, he intimately understands the weight of responsibility and the courage it takes to embrace the risks of ownership. I am deeply grateful for his endless emotional support, his wisdom, and the countless hours of guidance he has lovingly offered. I love him with every fiber of my being, and I thank him from the depths of my heart.
