We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandy Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandy, what’s your definition for success?
Success can be defined in so many ways. I define success as never giving up, never stopping, and respecting the failures, while achieving and accomplishing goals that I set out to do. The downfalls will all make sense one day it’s all life lessons just learn and move on from them, just don’t give up no matter what! That’s success. Well what success is to me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art varies from different avenues. My focus this year has been photography and real estate. Being myself is what sets me apart from the rest. When you understand that, you don’t see any competition. There’s always somebody better, but nobody can do you like you! Book with me and let’s create. I have a lot of things to be proud of. I’ll   narrow it down lol. One of my proudest moments this year so far was having one of my Images featured on MTV’s Prom-athon. I believe in doing what you love and most of the time for me, I’m free styling with my hobbies and designing my destiny, while making a way out of no way. It’s not easy at all. Hard work, dedication and consistency is key. Don’t get me wrong, I go through life challenges. Its been plenty of times where I wanted to give up when things didn’t go according to plan. I tried to stop while being in depression. It was tough for me and If it wasn’t for my daughter literally, I honestly would’ve never overcame my depression. My 10-year-old at the time then made me understand that sometimes we mess up but it’s ok, just start over. With Gods Grace I’m here now. Ready to accomplish the impossible. Professionally I’ve learned valuable lessons along my journey, Respect is earned, not given. I’ll do whatever to protect my reputation. I’m grinding with purpose. When you think of my brand think of the rose that grew from the concrete. I aim to deeply express the feelings and vision of every person I connect with. Since becoming a photographer understanding the vision is a key factor. I love being able to create a feel of satisfaction. I believe in being yourself and being free. I want the world to know you can do whatever you want if you believe. Trust the process. Be Ready Always N Do You!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would set up brunch on a Sunday afternoon. True Kitchen is on my menu for sure. I love a place with great pictures sceneries. I have to capture some cute pictures lol. Next place would be a hookah lounge/day party some where in uptown/downtown. After the day party, I’m probably almost hungry again now so dinner at Drakes, they play great music there and the food is good. But this is me I don’t need much just some music and positive vibes. House gatherings make the search a lot easier. I love a good KB!
