Meet Braija Mitchell | Owner and Founder of Become A Better Entity LLC & Interpersonal Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Braija Mitchell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Braija, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
While pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Fashion Merchandising and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management at Texas Woman’s University, I began working for a multinational shipping & receiving and supply chain management company. At the time I truly enjoyed my job.

Unfortunately, in the Fall of 2019 my workplace became chaotic and I found myself combatting a management team that didn’t know how to properly communicate, empathize or manage conflict. I quickly fell victim to leaders that led out of immaturity, self-doubt, and insensitivity. Through lots of soul searching and problem solving, I found that though I had been objectified, insulted and outcast, the biggest problem was much deeper than I ever expected. Although my management team were leaders with great potential they neglected to become self aware.

What should our readers know about your business?
In 2020 I founded Become A Better Entity, LLC (BABE), which is a coaching center that serves individuals, businesses, and groups of people. There, I serve as an Interpersonal Coach teaching leaders how to master self & social awareness. My goal is to show people that they are beyond capable of leading others and I remain there to assist them throughout their journey. During my many coaching programs, I remind my clients that leadership is not reserved for a select group of people. My journey in personal development and self-awareness was not easy and I have learned that there are many keys to leading others. Every single person has been gifted with unique talents and is called to use their strengths in every area of their life. Every day I encourage people to join me in this mission of growing and becoming a self-aware leader who intentionally leads out of passion & sincerity.

Become A Better Entity, LLC offers private one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and business consulting. In addition, Become A Better Entity, LLC, provides speaking engagements for school districts, greek life associations, and groups of people. For some it takes a lifetime to achieve self and social awareness; however, I believe that with the help of Become A Better Entity, LLC and your own tenacity you can uncover your greatest potential!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a soon-to-be Graduate my favorite place to hang out is at Texas Woman’s University. Its gorgeous greenery and architecture coupled with its quiet atmosphere is both inspiring and comforting. When hanging out on the Denton Square, I love to stop by Pizza Snob (a local pizzeria) for lunch. If I have room for dessert I always visit Gnome Cones; it’s the cutest snow cone shop and they are absolutely delicious. If I’m ever lost or stumped I refer to the Denton guide by The d.Diaries created by Denton’s local influencer Lillia Whittington.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this feature to my late grandfather “ Pawpots” and the Texas Women’s Center for Women Entrepreneurs because both have provided great mentorship and wisdom and I am forever thankful!
