Meet Bobby Zee | Filmmaker, film director, screenwriter, producer, composer, actor, illustrator & tattooer.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bobby Zee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bobby, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
It’s a forever changing ratio, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do so that you can focus on what ya want to do.
As a father, fiancé, business owner and filmmaker now, balance is key to making sure all my ducks are in a row. Without lists and lists, I’m certain I’d struggle to stay on task. When people depend on you, it’s pivotal you don’t fall short.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a filmmaker, I believe what makes me stand apart from the rest is the overall vision of the project. From the script to the score my hands touch it all, I’m blessed with many talents, all which apply to creating the utmost solid representation of what I’m trying to bring to market.
I’m most proud of the broad portfolio I’ve created. Along with my small team, once the opportunity arises, we’ll be prepared in every facet, moving forward.
Everyone was right, when it comes to making it in the film industry, there are no shortcuts. Many of my earlier efforts, however still very viable, could’ve been better sorted on the timeline.
Simply, I just want to make impactful movies however funny or dramatic they may be. Movies raised me and my brothers while my parents were out earning, In my years to come, I want to be apart of raising a generation with the same heart and love as I did growing up. As a whole, looking at networks today, I believe there is a severe lack of originality, I’ll do whatever it takes to gain experience but, it’ll always be in pursuit of bringing my specific vision to fruition.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In a weeks worth of living it up in the DFW area, there’s a few hotspots that I’d say are a must.
Catching a show at the Majestic Theater in Dallas is always a joy. At some point, grabbing some authentic tacos and tortas from La Conchita off Rufe Snow in NRH would be a must. To change gears, we’d hit up the Coyote Drive in for a double feature. For various nightcaps, Dublin’s in Fossil Creek is where we’d end up. If we got real crazy,, Bucks or Pin-ups in Saginaw would be in order.
Honorable mentions for eateries would be Stop ‘N’ Go gyros off Beach Street, Campo-Verde Mexican Cuisine in Arlington and my favorite Clown Burger, if you can catch them, located in Haltom City.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To my loved ones, friends and clients.
