We had the good fortune of connecting with Blanca Contreras and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blanca, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Consistency. Staying consistent and finding unconventional ways to build my business has helped me succeed and learn other ways to continue growing. Also, recognizing my individuality and what I personally bring to the table. I do not compare myself and only recognize others accomplishments as a motivating factor versus a diminishing one. I’m the only me there is and noone else can be that, there is power in recognizing this!

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is wealth building, specifically generational wealth building and helping my clients reach their goals. Many times I hear, “I never thought this would be possible for me/us” and to that I say, if it is set in your heart, it is possible. Sometimes it’s just a bit more work, but never impossible! Prior to transitioning to real estate, I was in product development and investor relations for a few different mortgage companies. I started at the bottom and worked my way to the top! Constantly learning and building relationships and bridges along the way. This is what sets me apart! I’m constantly learning for myself, my business and my clients, because they deserve the very best.
Most have encountered struggle and made mistakes and I am NOT the one that is going to deny them, I am going to help them to attain what they feel is impossible. I remember feeling that way, but we can’t let it stop us and I use experience for reaching my goals and helping others do the same! My combination of experience and knowledge in both mortgage and real estate is the game changer for me and my business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First stop would most definitely be the Frisco Star for a tour of the Dallas Cowboys practice camp and also some great eats and nightlife. Along with the Frisco Star, we would make our way to Legacy West for trivia, live music, shopping and of course tons of great options for eating and drinking. There are so many gems and quite honestly a week just isn’t enough time to tour our gorgeous city. Some other amazing options would be Bishop Arts, one of my fav taco stops, El Si Hay (a must) and of course Trinity Groves and our theatre district for either a play or comedy show!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Some credit is most definitely due to my Broker/Brokerage, Value Properties Realty. A real estate staple in the heart of Oak Cliff, helping generations of families and individuals for over 40 years. With old-school methods still in place, they have helped me thrive in real estate and what I have learned/gained will never go out of style but keep consistent in business growth and success. My broker, Roger Lopez is one of a kind and if you have the opportunity to have a conversation with him you are bound to have some great takeaways!

I also must dedicate my success to my family, friends, and social connections/relationships. They all play a great factor in my business, and who I am to, and definitely deserve recognition. My Faith also remains strong in ups and downs of life and keep me centered and focused!
