We had the good fortune of connecting with Baylee Compton & Riley Reeves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Baylee Compton &, what do you want people to remember about you?
As we became first-time owners of an online boutique, we contemplated how we would stand out and be “remembered”. Our goal is to empower women to look and feel their best by sourcing high quality items that you can mix and match to create stylish ensembles. It is amazing how much of an impact clothing has on our daily lives. It has the ability to make you feel powerful, comfortable, sexy, smart, and so much more. We want to help our customers feel their best selves not only by providing an online platform to order from, but by also bringing our shop to them through in-person events. We love connecting with our customers and creating curated styles that match their personality and lifestyle. We want people to remember us for our passion and positive expression in hopes that others can be inspired to chase their dreams while looking and feeling their best!Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets us apart as an online boutique is that we have a heavy focus on bringing our boutique items in-person to you. While we do not have a brick and mortar storefront, we participate in pop-up events around the country on a monthly basis. We get excited when we get to make that physical connection between our customers and our products. Watching them experience the quality of our items and see all of the outfit combinations come to life, is what keeps us going. A major lesson we have learned along the way is to keep going and do not be afraid to try new things. Whether that be with different styles or products, you can never stop learning how to grow. We want the world to know that we are two strong and independent women that are not only family, but are best friends. We continue to support and push each other every day to make our dreams come true and our business thrive.Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a friend visiting Dallas, I would definitely take them to Lower Greenville. My favorite go-to spot is Truck Yard because they have a fun and casual outdoor space and are also pet friendly. The have a full bar with local beers and mixed drinks and also bring in 2-3 different food trucks everyday. On top of that, they have the BEST philly cheesesteak in Dallas (available everyday) and live music on the weekends. From there, we would go to HG Supply to have a drink on the rooftop bar. It has one of the best views of Dallas and they also have incredible mixed drinks! For dinner, we would walk to Wabi House for their famous sukamon (ramen dish). SO TASTY!!Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The story of Elly Jade Boutique wouldn’t exist or be as successful without the help of our two amazing men by our sides. Doug & Eric- We are so grateful for everything you do – from being our accountants to being our handymen during pop-ups and everything in-between – thank you for your unconditional love and support.
