We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayaan & Eshaan Magoo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ayaan & Eshaan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As two high school students, we noticed that a lot of teens around us were struggling with stress, anxiety, and pressure. They often did not feel comfortable asking for help. We wanted to do something about it, something that felt more relatable and accessible for people our age.

That is what led us to create Help Youth Cope. Our thought process was simple. What if we built a tool made by teens for teens? Something that combined technology with mental health support in a way that felt easy and non-judgmental. With our interest in mental wellness and tech, we saw an opportunity to create an app that offers a supportive chatbot, motivational quotes, and crisis hotlines all in one place.

We are not therapists or professionals, but we are teens who care. Starting Help Youth Cope was our way of turning that concern into action.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Help Youth Cope is a teen-led mental health nonprofit that we started because we saw how many people our age were struggling in silence. We wanted to create something that actually helps, something made by teens who understand what it feels like. Our app gives users a space to feel supported through things like a calming chatbot, daily motivational quotes, and quick access to crisis hotlines if they ever need it.

What makes us different is that we are not adults trying to tell teens how to feel. We are teens too. We know what it is like to be overwhelmed, anxious, or just mentally drained. That is why we made Help Youth Cope simple, real, and easy to use. It is not about fixing everything. It is about having something there for you when things feel heavy.

One thing we are really proud of is that we took an idea and actually turned it into something people can download and use. It definitely was not easy. There were late nights, technical challenges, and times we felt like giving up. But we kept going because we knew why we were doing it.

The biggest lesson we have learned is that caring enough to try is powerful. You do not need to have all the answers. You just need to start.

If there is one thing we want people to know about Help Youth Cope, it is that we built it out of love. Love for our friends, our classmates, and anyone who feels like they are going through things alone. We want to be part of the solution, even in a small way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If our best friend were visiting for a week, we’d start by taking them to Southlake Town Square—the heart of our hometown city, filled with trendy shops, amazing restaurants, and a lively, walkable vibe. For lunch, we’d grab unbeatable chicken and biscuits at Whistle Britches or head to Shake Shack for one of their delicious sandwiches, then browse favorites like Lululemon, Nike, and Tyler’s. One evening, we’d dress up for dinner at Mi Cocina and finish the night with a sweet treat from Yogurtland. We’d also spend time outdoors like going for a walk around Town Square or playing tennis at Bicentennial Park. And of course, we couldn’t skip The Marq, where we’d hit the gym, join a class, or just relax in one of Southlake’s best community spaces. With its clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere, Southlake feels like a mini vacation right at home. It’s the perfect balance of fun and relaxation, and we’d love to show our friend everything it has to offer.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to dedicate our shoutout to our parents. From the very beginning, they have supported us in ways big and small. Whether it was encouraging our ideas, helping us stay motivated during late nights, or simply believing in us when we were unsure, they were always there.

They taught us to think beyond ourselves and to use what we have to make a difference. Without their constant support, love, and trust, Help Youth Cope would not be what it is today.
