We had the good fortune of connecting with Ava Renae and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ava, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am originally from Norman, Oklahoma, when my parents got a divorce when I was very young, going back and forth house to house, moving became a constant journey  in my life and relationships were brief. I’ve had my fair share of blunders and victories, I have been trampled by a horse and hospitalized, was second chair violin, and danced in my modern dance recital. I was raised in multiethnic environments, giving me a wider sense of the world and allowed me to open my doors to the unthinkable as a young child. I am now down in Irving, Texas and working for myself and working on my modeling and acting, my stock market trades and most importantly my life coaching.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Since I was a girl, I have loved art. I did watercolors, clay creations, hand sewed for my dolls clothes, pottery, jewelry making, and created YouTube videos. When I was about 16, I noticed I could use my body as art. I have been the subject for art classes and have modeled body painting and posing. Art has endless possibilities.

I am excited about connecting with other like minded creatives to build portfolios, come up with fruitful projects, and build relationships that are based on pure motivation, inspiration, and love for years to come.

At the beginning of 2020 I had a cholecystectomy followed 6 months later  by a laparoscopy, I’d never been so physically and mentally  limited before. This is where my spirituality took off and I  wanted to know exactly what it was my soul wanted. So I booked a weekend trip to Colorado Spring with myself. Through connecting with mother nature and Christ  himself,  I have learned to be fully present in the now and enjoy everything for what it is. I found it’s important to show up for yourself. When the chips are down, it  is you and God and this is where faith and trust shows the most. It’s my intention to incorporate my personal growth into my future works.

It’s a matter of investing your time, energy, and money into things that will make you your best self. My future projects will be more authentically driven, bringing beauty and art into the world, as well as the truth. Which is exactly what I advise my subject and life coaching clients, regardless of so said expectations or limitations, bring your light forward and be the amazing artwork and being  you are.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I recently came across the Vincent Van Gogh Exhibit that travels throughout the nation, which is going on until the end of February. Looking at a more relaxing and stimulating experience the Spa Castle with a nice trip to the sushi bar and a mud bath to finish everything off. For something more active I wouldn’t mind the trip over to the Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my father, he’s been my biggest supporter. I have not always had a great relationship with my parents, but my father always said, ‘I love you unconditionally and support you in anything you do”. I would also like to thank my mother for going through her near-death experience bringing me into the world. I want to thank my Aunt Nene and Monica because they were a great comfort to me when I needed it most, still to this day I feel nothing but pure love and motivation from them. I also want to thank my Grandma Julie, who housed me during my hard teenage years, she brought me to God. Big shoutout to Jesus, been my one and true supporter, mentor, and encouragement through it all no matter the time.
