Meet Ashley Wang | Aesthetic Nurse Injector and Founder of Aera Wellness

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Wang and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
In aesthetics, people aren’t just investing in treatments—they’re investing in the injector and provider. Your energy, your integrity, your skillset, and your ability to truly listen. Building a successful aesthetic practice isn’t just about delivering beautiful results—it’s about building genuine relationships and creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and confident.
I learned that success is rarely a straight path. Some weeks feel powerful and aligned, while others bring a slower pace and unexpected chaos. Each day, I prioritize what matters most—personally and professionally—so I can stay grounded. My foundation is built on being intentional and present, which helps me navigate moments when success doesn’t show up the way I envisioned. Instead of chasing perfection, I focus on small, consistent actions that shape lasting discipline and keep me connected to my larger goals with patient care, building relationships, and better outcomes for our practice and business.
Behind the scenes, entrepreneurship has taught me resilience and adaptability. There’s so much more to running a business than just being good at your craft—there’s marketing, systems, finances, boundaries, and mindset. I’ve learned to embrace growth over perfection, to pivot with purpose, and to lead with intention. Because when you combine skill with heart, that’s when your business truly thrives.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As an aesthetic nurse and co-founder of my own practice, my mission has always gone beyond creating beautiful results—I’m here to build trust, empower confidence, and offer a space where clients truly feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
Growing up in South Korea, where skincare is deeply embedded in our culture, I developed an early appreciation for a skin-forward approach to beauty. That foundation shaped my philosophy: prioritize skin health, embrace innovation, and deliver treatments that are as thoughtful as they are effective. What sets my practice apart is the personalized, intentional care I give every client—each treatment plan is tailored, rooted in education, and designed to enhance natural beauty, not mask it.
I bridge the gap between advanced South Korean technology—backed by clinical research—and a more holistic, long-term skincare strategy. Rather than focusing on quick fixes or simply “filling hollow pockets,” I emphasize preventative care and skin rejuvenation using multi-step routines and the latest innovations. My goal is to help clients feel good in their skin for years to come, not just after a single appointment.
This journey has been far from easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced the struggle of balancing creativity with business logistics. But every challenge became a lesson—teaching me the importance of boundaries, systems, and staying aligned with my purpose. Having a family background in the skincare industry also inspired and informed my path, reminding me of the impact this work can have when done with passion and care.
I’m most proud of the meaningful relationships I’ve built—both with clients and within the community. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone light up with confidence or hearing that their self-care routine has become a source of joy. Through my brand, I hope to continue growing a glow-getter community—one that values skincare not just as a treatment, but as a lifestyle rooted in love, science, and self-respect.
My story is one of heart, heritage, and healing—and I’m excited for what’s still to come.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would love to treat my best friend with a perfect balance of relaxation, beauty, amazing food, and unforgettable memories. We would start with a cozy brunch at a local favorite —somewhere with great coffee, a dreamy interior, and avocado toast done right at LaLaLand. It only makes sense that I would bring my friends to my clinic for a little glow-up—whether it’s skincare, a facial, or just a little self-care moment. Afterwards, we would do a vegan restaurant in Bishop Arts Tribal All Day Cafe, get a overpriced smoothie and walk over to a wellness activity like a hot yoga session.
Most of my friends enjoy art and culture—and would plan a visit to an immersive experience and gallery, and then take up a creative workshop (pottery, anyone?). Dinner would be something fun at a sushi restaurant with an omakase experience at Namo. I would love to do another slow morning brunch before taking my friends to the airport—hearts full, face glowing, and memories made.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has been my anchor through every season—encouraging me to leap into entrepreneurship, nurturing my business acumen and aesthetic skills, and investing in my vision. My husband and children have shown up in ways both big and small, celebrating my wins and offering their support during the setbacks. And my parents, who instilled in me a strong work ethic and the belief that I could create a life filled with purpose and passion, are the foundation of everything I do.
