Meet Asa Smith: Creative Crafter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Asa Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Asa, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is to never give up and to always believe in yourself. There’s always going to be other businesses that are out there doing the same thing you are doing, They most important part to being successful is to never give up and believe that no matter what crosses your path, you can handle it like a boss.
What should our readers know about your business?
Ace’s Classy Creations prides itself in providing custom and personalized items for individuals, groups or businesses to help create lasting memories. We also take pride in our customer service and providing professional experiences to each of our customers. I am most excited about all of the things we have to offer from t-shirts to bags, to customs tumblers and coffee mugs, just to name a few. There have definitely been challenges as with any businesses. I have found that the customer service we provide has been what keeps the customers continually returning to us. I’ve learned to always expect the unexpected with orders, supplies or just life in general. Anything that could go wrong, can go wrong. How you turn things around in your business is what matters the most. I just want let anyone out there know that if you are thinking of starting a business, DO IT! Don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you from being great and following your dreams. You will never know how great you will be if you never take that first step in starting.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
There are so many places that I would go. My favorite places to go eat are Krab Kingz Seafood, Madea’s Down Home Cooking, and Rosako’s Soul Food and BBQ. My ultimate place to relax and have drinks would be The Boardroom Whiskey and Cigar Lounge. Of course we would definitely hit up the Tanger Outlets , Galleria Mall or Northpark Mall for some shopping.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I would have to shoutout my amazing husband Ashton Smith. He pushes me to be greater with every idea or order I have that puts me out of my comfort zone. His constant encouragement and help is the reason I continue to push forward and not give up. Next, I would have to shoutout my mom Adriane Woods for continually giving me out the box ideas to try. I have to say that I’m always up for the challenge. To my best friend/sister Erica Nykol, thank you for always being there when I need a vent buddy and supporting from the very beginning of it all. To my business besties Andrea and Dre, I thank you for all of the collaborations that you have entrusted me to make happen. To all of my customers I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Without you there is no me and my business would not be where it is without your orders and ideas. Finally, to my ancestors, I thank you for your prayers over my life and the encouragement and guidance you provided while you were here. I hope that I am continually making you proud!!
