We had the good fortune of connecting with Arresha Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arresha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My entire thought process behind starting my business was to not only work entirely for myself one day, but to also have flexibility in order to be available for my children whenever possible. Weather it’s for extracurricular activities, or sick days.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Many people that know me personally, also know that I am a poet. I am currently tying my poetry skills in with my cosmetic skills. I believe they are one in the same. When I’m producing my products I feel as if I’m making poetry. It’s all artistic, the setting/vibe has to be just right while I’m writing or creating product. I have to have my music just right, the temp inside has to be comfortable, I have to have my coffee and I have to be inline with God (most importantly).

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would most definitely hit up downtown Fort Worth! I currently live here, and I am constantly finding new things that I never knew about. First place I would go is The Botanic Gardens, just because I love nature. I would most definitely hit up an open mic night and karaoke.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Of course I want to shout out my parents, that’s where all of my talent and creativity comes from. I also love Maya Angelou, her life story and her struggles really speaks to me, some of which I can relate to.
