Meet Aracely Salas | Chandler

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aracely Salas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aracely, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting CEL SAL was the ability to have more control on what I was bringing into my home while giving myself a creative outlet. CEL SAL is an eco-conscious home fragrance brand that focuses on not only aesthetics but also using high quality clean raw materials.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a lover of art and all its mediums, I try to find ways to incorporate different things I love into my finished products. I’m proud of the recognizable aesthetic I have built for my brand which has taken time to accomplish.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For my friends visiting the city, I like to include a little bit of everything — entertainment, good food, a great dessert, and views!
Let’s start with dessert because life’s too short to have to wait for dinner first.
My top picks for a good slice of heaven would be some of my favorite local small businesses; Val’s cheesecakes and cake bar. Can’t go wrong with either… or both if you’re like me 🙂
If we want to shoot 3 birds with one stone during a short trip, you can get entertainment, good food, and views in trinity groves. If the weather is nice, you can even catch the weekly Friday night artisanal art walk/vendor markets!
Start with some fab tinga tacos from Beto & Son; don’t forget to try their cool liquid nitro margaritas! Next, Walk the food off by heading over to the Margaret hunt hill bridge for a beautiful view of the city and end the night over at Free Play which is a fun old-school-like arcade!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The small business community in Dallas has helped paved the way for me to show up with CEL SAL. Both my fellow small business owners and our small business supporting community continue to be the encouragement that allows me to push forward. Without our locals showing up for us, it just wouldn’t be the same!
