Meet Antoinette Njombua-Fombad | Author I Life Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Antoinette Njombua-Fombad and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Antoinette, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My friends call me Nettie! I am a proud Cameroonian-American who
immigrated to the United States at 20, navigating the challenges of outgrowing cultural limitations while rediscovering that my authenticity extended far beyond the beliefs I once held. My journey has been shaped by growth, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to self-discovery.
I began my academic path with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, driven by my curiosity about life and the natural world. My passion for helping others heal led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Nursing, where I found purpose in caring for others. Over 14 years as an acute care nurse, I cultivated life-changing skills—critical thinking, problem-solving, intentionality, situational awareness, accountability, and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. These experiences laid the foundation for my natural transition into nurse education and, eventually, life coaching.
I believe personal growth is the foundation for thriving relationships. When we live in balance, our connections flourish, creating lives filled with purpose and fulfillment. Our most underutilized resource is already within us—we are our most valuable asset.

What should our readers know about your business?
In 2020, I founded “Within Coaching and Consulting Services” after studying at the Jay Shetty Life Coaching School. But my love for coaching began long before. Even as a young girl, I found myself problem-solving through my own experiences and supporting others in my community. This deep-rooted passion for personal growth, spirituality, and authentic connection shapes my coaching approach today. I believe vulnerability and introspection are our greatest tools for transformation, and I’m here to help others unlock their true potential.
My journey has also led me into the world of creative writing. As a Connection and Awareness Executive Contributor for BRAINZ Magazine, I explore the power of authenticity and personal development, earning the Brainz CREA Global Award for thought leadership, innovation, and contributions to sustainability and mental health initiatives. Additionally, I guest contribute to Guzangs Magazine, combining my love for creative design with personal growth.
The road has had its challenges, but that, again, I remember is the rhythm of life. Navigating parenthood and spousal commitment while growing professionally calls for intentional dedication. However, getting things done comes with surrendering to each facet of my life. Listening to the intuitive wisdom that comes through and honoring with prioritization of how and what each demands is crucial to maintaining a balance and managing the overwhelm. Most critically, trusting my capacity to live up to the assignment and leaning into gratitude have been essential to my success. Transitioning from an ‘I have to’ mindset to ‘I get to’ affords a positive mental shift in experiencing my life. I get to be a mother, I get to be an author, and I get to coach others to live fulfilling lives. It keeps me in a possibilities mindset instead of a victim of liability.
Living a mindful life affords us the opportunity to show up in the world with accountable authenticity, understanding that we are what we believe, are responsible for what we contribute and that our energy influences every interaction and outcome we experience.
The source of our dysregulation is our disconnection, not necessarily with our environments but with ourselves. When we focus on tuning in intuitively to understand and connect with ourselves beyond our current programming, we live better self-connected lives and show up more mindfully.
Self-connection: the ability to own your authenticity and connectivity to your environments as independently as possible, with conscious intention.
These four steps guide us towards living better, self-connected, and mindfully,
Detachment: Reconnecting with your Humanity. Tapping into the value of vulnerability as the gateway to connection. With earnestness and openness for deep healing, reevaluate your belonging, and you decondition from fear.
Reawakening: Reconnecting with your Authenticity. Using reflective awareness to make choices and judgment calls guided by truth, not proof, so you focus on the lessons/wisdom they reveal. Embracing polarity and identifying your uniqueness as you reconnect with your authenticity.
Actualizing: Reconnecting with your Growth and Becoming. Hone into the blessings of your mirrored reflections from relationships for accountability. Surrender to presence and your reality as you redefine the ego’s participation and override the subconscious with support from invaluable practices: gratitude, service, and faith. That is essential for shifting your mindset for a better mind-body connection as you change and freely create a life from a possibilities mindset.
Integration: Reconnecting with your Environments. Life happens for us, not to us. What matters is how we choose to flow with it. Using our conscious intentions as our anchor, we intuitively use our contribution to create synergy with our environments as we harmoniously grow from fear to love.
We must autonomously take ownership of our lives and accept that there are infinite possibilities for living better, more heart-centered, with less resistance and stress. The goal is alignment, not perfection. The mission is to nurture the soul to fully embody and live lives according to our signatures and assignments. My vision is through Love and freedom.
I am a soul nurturer with an assignment to impact our individual actualization journeys and collective freedom through self-connection, for we are only free with our world to the degree to which we are free to ourselves, and we integrate synergistically when we show up authentically trusting and honing on our unique contribution.
We will be exploring in detail the practical application of the lessons and practices in my book through free bi-weekly webinars—
‘Align with Self’
starting Thursday 4/10/25.
I am excited and looking forward to growing with our community.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Legacy West is a dynamic metropolitan area with multiple businesses and locations that offer fun and engaging activities. From the finest restaurants to well-known brand stores and their annual outdoor community activities, such as the Plano Wine and Food festivals, that’s one location I can always rely on for a good time. The new and resource-packed Frisco public library is one to check out. Royal Palace Restaurant and Lounge in Addison provides a fun and exciting experience with live music and fun shows for nightlife and lounging. Eventbrite is a great go-to resource for the many fun, growth-focused, and relaxing activities in the DFW area.
