We had the good fortune of connecting with Antoine White and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antoine, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk Taking is Everything!!! My First Risk was moving from St.Louis Missouri to Dallas Texas in 2016. The Experience has Been Great!! I moved Down to Attempt to Further My Professional Career and To Gain Exposure to New People and Experiences. I Made the Move to Irving Alone with No Job and My Car Packed with my Belongings. I knew that with Positive Energy and A Great Work Ethic Everything would Workout. After A Slow start with My Job in 2017 I decided to take a Leap of Faith and Start A Business Full Time. I started my Company (YBE). My Company was Based on Highlighting Local African American Business Owners and Entrepreneurs. I Highlight these Business Owners Through Events Such as Networking Events, Vendor Events, Lectures, Seminars, and Other Social Activities. The Risk Has Paid Off!!! I have been Running My Business Successfully for 4 Years Now!!! Without Taking those First Steps I Would not have seen these Results. For anyone looking to get Started I would Say Analyze The Risk, Do Your Research, Save Your Money and Go For It!!!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I would love to tell you Guys about my Business!!! My Business is (YBE) short for Young Black Entrepreneurs Networking and Development Group. I Focus Directly on Highlighting the African American Community in A Positive Light! I do this in Many Ways! Some of these Ways include Networking Events, Vendor Events, Lectures, Seminars, Community Events, Festivals, Community Service, and other Social Activities to Gain Community Engagement. Another Key Reason I started my Business was to Give The African American Community More Options Outside of Corporate America. In the Past there has always been Challenges for People of Color in these Settings. With my Business I allow the Community an Outlet to Highlight Strengths and Abilities they have that they may have never been Allowed to tap into in other Settings. Some of the Lessons that I’ve learned along my Journey is to Stay Consistent, Stay Positive, and to stay Hungry! If you incorporate all 3 of those Principles you For Sure will be Successful! I would like people to know that My Business is Here to Help Assist with Change and Overall Positive Growth for The African American Community!!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
