We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony High and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important thing my Podcast has taught is something I just learned this year, it has taught me to let the people who want to hear me, HEAR ME. Don’t dumb yourself down for people, let them catch up to you. Now my expectations in support isn’t so high because eventually the people I’m going to reach will start to show up.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So I Podcast, something a lot of people have started to do in the past year or two. What I feel like sets me apart is that I don’t try to blend in, I speak of topics that matter instead of the “controversial” things. All attention ain’t good attention. For the most part it has been easy, the hardest part I will say is the support factor. A lot of people you expect to be your number one fan will disappoint you. What I want the world to know is that I’m just doing me, and doing what the Lord has called me to do.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well it’s Dallas so there’s a ton of things to do. Of course we going to Whataburger, that’s my spot. I’m not a drinker but I would love to go to Deep Ellum and bar hop, I like to be center of attention, I’m a star duh haha. I also love visiting the Reunion Tower or as we say in the city “The Ball”. I’ve been obsessed with that tower since I was a child. We’re going to church of course, I’m a really chill person so I don’t go out at all, but if WWE is in town, you better believe I’m there and cheering!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I really would like to shoutout my 5th grade teacher Mrs.Reed. Sadly she’s no longer with us but she was the best teacher I ever had. She was my teacher in the 2008-2009 school year and all these years later her patience with me is still embedded in my mind, and I will always appreciate her.
