Meet Anna Glasgow | Empowerment Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Glasgow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, how do you think about risk?
I think calculated risk is necessary for any type of growth and success. Our lives begin with tons of risk-taking. We try to roll over, sit up, walk, run, ride a bike…etc. The only way we develop is through risks. At some point we learn that taking risks can be painful and should be avoided. The consequence of this thought is stunted growth. But, what we want most is on the other side of that risk. I know that any time I get that scary feeling in my gut, I have to analyze it. If it’s the “oh no, I could die” scary, I avoid it. If it’s the scary feeling when strapping into a rollercoaster, I go for it! This has proven helpful in my life, both personally and professionally. I’ve achieved the things I set out to achieve. I’ve fallen short and learned how to do it better the next time. I love rollercoaster risks and look for them consistently. My success is always on the other side of that risk!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I partner with professional women who are rockstars in life and see value in consistently leveling up. We restructure their personal foundation together. We build boundaries around each area of their lives in order feel peace and power. We strategize ways to create the life that aligns with their passions and values. My clients are out in the community making moves and changing lives. Their marriages are happier, their kids are more secure, their businesses are growing and we are all better because they put in the work!
I am proud of my consistency. I show up as myself each day and offer value to past, current and prospective clients. I am genuinely invested in the success of each of my clients. I listen to their pain points and create programs that address and eliminate them. I am so hype about my Badass With Boundaries program. The women in this group are addressing areas in their lives with weak or non-existent boundaries and they are working to establish firm ones that will leave them feeling in control of their happiness again.
Throughout my journey as a Coach, I’ve learned more about myself than I anticipated. Striking out on my own created a ton of insecurities and I forced myself to address each of them. I incorporate personal development into each day’s schedule. I meet with my Coach. I meet with my peers. I study the greats that came before me. I meditate, pray, manifest and move my body. I’ve come to see the importance of being my own client first. This has helped me serve my clients more than any training I’ve received!
Working with me as your Empowerment Coach will create a life filled with focus, clarity and peace because you know what it takes to walk in your power.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, I would make sure to hit up some of my favorite spots! We would go to Grandscape in The Colony for shopping, great food and outdoor concerts. Dallas Silk Art has an amazing water marbling workshop where we’d create some one of a kind silk art and maybe even some personalized masks to wear while we were out social distancing. Legacy West is always a chill spot for food, music and just hanging with your friends. We’d have to try out The Whiskey Spot for a tasting and walk around Uptown and people watch. There are outdoor art exhibits, museums, theaters in Dallas that we’d have to check out as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve got to give a shout out to MY Business Coach, Jenesis Long. She has guided, encouraged and stretched me in ways I could not have done on my own. I also have to thank my business tribe. Anne, Dawn, Corinne, Amber, Sharby, and Dara have spent hours meeting, brainstorming, planning, encouraging and guiding me in my business building. My crew of cheerleaders that hype me up in private and all over their communities give me wings! They post, repost, tag, show up to events, inform the media of my events, drive around with SHI(f)T Talker stickers on their vehicles, guest host my podcasts, send messages of encouragement, and refer clients often. My cheerleaders are Mom, Gabaral, Lita, Anita, Kelley, Alauna, Mike, Stephanie, Fitz, Courtney, Paige, Kenisha, Tamara, Shannon, Kathy, Hagg Auto, Jayna, Carla, Kasey, Lo. My loudest shout goes out to my man, my partner in life and love: Roderick. He has more faith in me than I do in myself some days. He celebrates my wins and holds me up when I struggle. He gives me space to walk in my power and I would not have taken this step without his support and encouragement. He is helping me show our daughter that we stand for service and wealth-building.
