We had the good fortune of connecting with Angie Dumas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important Factor behind my success is I pray about everything. I was taught that if we acknowledge God in all things everything would happen according to His plan.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a Food Writer & Lifestyle Influencer I get to experience a variety of things. From all-expense paid media trips, to working with brands I have used for years. As well as products we use at home, being able to test some really cool products with my family. I am proud of how much my blog has grown in just 3 years. 

The experiences that I have been blessed to do enjoy have been a blessing. I am where I am now from hard work, prayer, a great support system and just the willingness to not give up. 

I have not reached all of my goals, but I don’t worry about it, I just keep pressing on. It has not been easy; I’ve received lots of no’s but also lots of yes’! I have learned that there is a time for everything. If it hasn’t happened yet, it means it’s not time for it. My brand is all about Food, Faith, Fashion and Family. These are the things I am most passionate about and what keeps me going!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m more of an expert of the Louisiana food scene, only because I am new to the Texas. I am still learning the area, but I would say that a journey through Houston via food, good hotels. 

Then off to Austin for a day to enjoy the Culinary scene. Great food and so much to see. Then off to Hill Country to enjoy all of the amazing views. We would eat some amazing BBQ from the best BBQ spots in each place, Franklin’s BBQ & Killen’s BBQ. Let’s not forget delicious tacos and of course desserts at my favorite dessert spots. I love places that have outdoor spaces to dine, sit and the beautiful scenic views. Being outdoors for me is so peaceful. 

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am thankful for the love and support of my family. My husband, kids and my mom are my greatest cheerleaders. Whatever I need they are there to help. I am beyond thankful for them. Of course, I can’t forget all my loyal readers and followers. Thanks for hanging with me. The best is yet to come.
