We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela LaBounty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, how has your background shaped the person you are today?

As one of the fortunate life-long residents of this thriving Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, I’m proud to call North Texas home!

I’m grateful to have had an upbringing that instilled a strong sense of faith along with a solid and principled work ethic!

Real Estate, architecture, and design have always been a passion for me.

I’ve always loved the art of negotiations and the challenge of thinking “outside the box” to find win-win solutions.

With over 30 years of successful sales and negotiations experience in the healthcare field, I’ve had a lot of practice!

What should our readers know about your business?

WHEN NEGOTIATIONS MATTER MOST…..

A thoughtful, innovative Realtor with a strategic, collaborative, approach and expert negotiation skills

If you ask Angela LaBounty what she loves most about being a Realtor, she’ll tell you it’s the most rewarding-and CHALLENGING profession she’s ever had!

Angela’s been an accomplished TOP PRODUCER, and trusted advisor since she began her real estate career. From earning Rookie of the Year at one of the largest brokerages in Dallas/Fort Worth, to becoming a member of the esteemed Institute for Luxury Home Marketing where she earned the distinguished CLHMS (Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist) and GUILD status, she’s upheld the highest standards of service and knowledge.

Angela’s been named to the North Fort Worth Real Producers TOP 500 (top 1-2% of over 15,000 agents) for 2022.

She’s also recognized by Fort Worth Magazine and 360 West Magazine as a Top Realtor.

When asked about the secret for her success, Angela admits she’s always loved having a career, but acknowledges that real estate is particularly demanding!

“As an independent agent (now a Principal Agent with Compass RE Texas), real estate has required an extensive investment of time and an extraordinary amount of hard work! I’m grateful my children are grown, and that my husband loves to play a lot of softball and golf! I’m blessed to be able to work at something I absolutely love, although it requires a high level of ongoing commitment!”

Angela credits joining Compass earlier this year for creating a pivotal change in her business.
Compass is known for its modern real estate platform, pairing the industry’s top talent with technology.

“I’m thrilled to have the tools and resources that enable me to even better serve my clients. Because I work with both buyers and sellers, Compass has everything imaginable for national property searches and elegant marketing tools.

They even have an INTEREST FREE, NO UPFRONT COST program for helping sellers prepare their property for listing.
NO MATTER WHERE IN THE WORLD a client is looking to buy or sell, I’m able to help them in the most innovative ways!”

What’s been the most rewarding aspect of the job?

“What I treasure the very most are my clients! My entire business has been built on referrals, so each and every client’s confidence and trust in me is invaluable! Most become like family and I love seeing and hearing how their dreams and goals take root in their new homes. It’s an incredible privilege to work with individuals and families through one of the most critical transitions in life. Whether it’s first-time homebuyers or empty nesters who are right-sizing, buying a home is almost always one of the most emotional, expensive, and impactful life changes. It’s an honor in which I take the utmost care!”

What’s next for Angela?

“I’m working on my Brokers license and pursuing dual licensure in Colorado.”

“Wherever you are in your Real Estate journey, it’d be my pleasure to travel along with you to help ensure it’s a great adventure!”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Having lived in Dallas/Fort Worth my entire life, and working throughout the entire metroplex, there are so many great options.

The Stockyards in Fort Worth is iconic with so many Texas cuisine choices.

I love the Shops at Legacy and Legacy West in Plano!

For a short get away, I’d suggest heading East to Kiepersol in Tyler.
It’s a Texas (estate-grown artisan) Winery, Distillery, and Bed and Breakfast with incredible food and great service!

At Christmas, downtown Grapevine is a must! A train ride on the Polar Express is a great way to create memories for the kids.
For adults, the secret’s out that the Magnum Speakeasy (reservations required) hidden behind a phone booth entrance inside the Hotel Vin is a fun and intimate setting for cocktails and conversation!

I love to patronize small businesses and one of my favorites close to home is Restorante Mulino in Southlake.
They offer a variety of authentic Italian dishes and the best wood fired pizza. The atmosphere is eclectic and friendly and best of all, it’s BYOB.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A special Shoutout goes to every single one of my valued clients, family and friends who’ve entrusted and referred me for real estate advice and services! I am beyond grateful! Without all of you, we wouldn’t be having this interview!
