We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Mock and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angel, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
This past year has brought to light that the world could definitely benefit with more love, hope and people winning at life. We recognize that the changes needed to take place all starts with the individual. When we work on our physical and mental selves by filling those nutritional gaps. We start to see changes not only in the physical sense but also in our thought processes. We begin to feel better and in turn make healthier decisions. The healthier choices being in what we eat, drink and how we begin to move our bodies. This overall process in turn gives us a feeling of hope…hope that things are more achievable, things can be different, and that our dreams are not so far reaching.

I know you’re thinking…so nutrition is going to help me achieve my dreams. YES! I have witnessed so many people’s lives change with that one decision of becoming healthier. It is the starting point that begins that ball rolling. When our bodies and minds are healthy…we think differently and therefore are able to see the results in the decisions we make.

It really does begin with nutrition….

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The road traveled was a bit of a bumpy one. I mean choosing entrepreneurship as a career is not for the faint of hearts. LOL There are so many blessings that I have experienced, so many lessons that I have learned, I would not trade it for anything, I along with my husband have worked very hard to be where we are today. I have found that all the accomplishments pale in comparison to the lives that we have been able to directly and indirectly impact. There is no sweeter joy than to watch others dreams come true. They went from struggling on a daily basis to feeling their best and doing things they thought they could have never done such as climbing the space needle, earning their black belt, purchasing their dream home or their dream car. Some had never traveled further than 100 mile radius and now they are traveling international. They have seen not only their lives change but their family and friends live change.

Were there challenges? AB.SO.LUTE.LY!!! Those challenges can either make or break us! It really is about what we do with them that impacts us. I see them as a learning lesson – I take from them what I feel the lesson was that I needed to learn. I apply it to my current situation and push on! There will always be challenges in any working environment but if you can focus on the positive. You will be so much further ahead.

You see my story is made up of many challenges – I was born in a small town in South Dakota. I was raised by a single mother. I spent most of my days taking care of myself while she was working to better our lives by going to school and work. I taught myself what it means to be responsible, how to cook, how to clean (helped her out as much as possible), and most of all how to break the cycle of environment I was raised in. Now is it perfect – NOPE! It is a daily process but I knew I didn’t want to be a victim of my circumstance. She was working too hard to change it for us all. Hence, my constant desire to help those that feel there is no hope, no escape, and no way to obtain their dreams.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my most memorable experiences are going to the Dallas Cowboys Games. A concert at AT&T Stadium is super fun way to let our hair down. A spa day at the Four Seasons is a definite must! A shopping day at North Park is so much fun! I also love downtown McKinney for shopping and the local entertainment. We have found a wonderful French restaurant in downtown Grapevine called Piaf. The drinks are served in themed glasses.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe life has been my education. My first mentor in life was my single parent mother. She showed me what perseverance and drive can accomplish. She overcame obstacles that most would have crumbled under. She was my stepping stone to my next mentor which really helped me step out of my shell…Tony Robbins. He showed me that all of my limiting beliefs were just that MINE. No one else saw me the way I was seeing myself. I tried to hide away from people for fear of judgement, criticism, and unnecessary attention. It really limited my potential. I learned different and began to do different. I have gone on to have many other mentors that I have admired and worked to emulate their skill sets and knowledge. I have gathered as much info as possible and work to apply it to my every day life and business.
