We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrei Tone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrei, what do you attribute your success to?
The single most important factor behind the success of Tone Films has been clarity of vision combined with relentless execution. From day one, I knew Tone Films wouldn’t just be another video production company—we were building a national creative brand rooted in cinematic storytelling, strategic thinking, and real emotional connection.

Whether we’re producing a brand video in Dallas, a commercial in Fort Worth, or a docu-style piece in NYC, the mission remains the same: tell stories that move people and move the needle for our clients.

Brand Integrity Across Cities
As we scaled into major markets like Plano, Tulsa, OKC, Nashville, Washington D.C., Miami, and Los Angeles, it would’ve been easy to dilute the quality or lose creative control. But staying rooted in our identity and values allowed us to thrive across every city we entered.

We’re not just a Dallas video production company or a NYC video production team—we’re Tone Films, and every piece of content that leaves our hands must carry that cinematic fingerprint.

Culture of Excellence
I believe success comes down to building a culture, not just a company. That means setting an expectation of excellence, owning your standards, and surrounding yourself with team members who don’t just do the work—they elevate it.

The producers, editors, and shooters in each of our locations—from Los Angeles to Nashville—are handpicked and deeply aligned with our mission. We don’t just hire talent. We build believers in the vision.

Final Thought: Vision + Velocity
I think the difference between good and great often comes down to this: How fast can you execute without compromising what makes you excellent?
We grew fast—but we never grew careless. That discipline has been key to our national presence and the strength of our brand.

What should our readers know about your business?
How did you get here? Was it easy?
The journey has been anything but easy. I’ve bootstrapped, hit dead ends, faced rejection, and burned out more than once. There were moments when I questioned whether I was cut out for entrepreneurship. But what kept me going was vision—an unshakable belief that what we were building mattered.

One turning point was working on the Trump 2020 marketing campaign, where I contributed to creative and digital strategy and was on-call with senior political figures. That high-pressure environment sharpened my instincts and taught me the power of clarity, speed, and message control—skills I brought directly into the culture at Tone Films.

We scaled by leaning heavily into relationships, referrals, and delivering above expectations. And as our name started appearing in cities like Dallas, Nashville, Miami, and NYC, our reputation grew. Today, our projects speak for themselves, but they’re all rooted in years of unseen hustle.

What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Excellence scales—but only with systems. As we grew into multiple locations, we had to implement tight quality control, SOPs, and team training to maintain our creative standards.
Your network is everything. Investing in genuine relationships has brought us clients, talent, and mentors I couldn’t have reached otherwise.
Mission matters. When your work is rooted in something deeper than money—whether it’s purpose, service, or legacy—you’ll push through walls others won’t.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I want people to know that Tone Films is more than a video production company—it’s a movement of storytellers helping businesses, leaders, and communities be seen, heard, and remembered. Whether you’re searching for a Dallas video production company, a NYC production team, or a Los Angeles-based cinematic crew, we’ve built Tone Films to meet you where you are—literally and creatively.

This isn’t just my job—it’s my legacy. And I’m proud to be building it alongside a team that shares the same hunger to create, inspire, and elevate every brand we touch.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Dallas, here’s the ultimate week-long itinerary to show them the city I love and live in:
I’ve spent years building Tone Films in Dallas and across the U.S., but Dallas is still home base—and it has a vibrant mix of food, culture, and hidden gems that deserve the spotlight. Whether you’re a creative, foodie, or just love meaningful connection, Dallas can give you a week you’ll never forget.

Day 1: Welcome to Dallas – Deep Ellum + Rooftop Vibes
Coffee: Start with an espresso at Murray Street Coffee—it’s a hidden local favorite downtown, perfect for kicking off the trip.

Dinner + Drinks: Dinner at STIRR—great food, even better rooftop views.
Nightcap: Truth & Alibi, a speakeasy hidden behind a candy shop sign. A vibe.

Day 2: Culture + History
Breakfast: Hit up Bread Winners Cafe in Uptown—brunch game is elite.
Activity: Visit The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, then stroll through Klyde Warren Park.
Lunch: Grab gourmet tacos at Velvet Taco—always a crowd-pleaser.
Evening: Catch a live show at the Dallas Theater Center, or if we’re feeling spontaneous, a Mavs or Stars game at American Airlines Center.

Day 3: Fort Worth Day Trip – Western Culture & Chill
Morning Drive: 45-minute drive to Fort Worth—music on, windows down.
Explore: Walk through Fort Worth Stockyards, catch the cattle drive.

Studio Tour: I’d take them to see Tone Films Dallas HQ and maybe swing by a local shoot or project in progress.
Lunch: Quick bite at Royal Blue Grocery—super clean, modern, and low-key elite.
Afternoon: Visit The Dallas Contemporary, then over to The Joule to check out their curated art collection.
Evening: Dinner at Tei-An, a Japanese soba house with one of the best views from their rooftop lounge.

Day 5: Nature, Recharge & Luxe

Day 6: Local Collabs + Nightlife
Hang Out: Connect with local creatives, entrepreneurs, and filmmakers in the area. I’d introduce them to some of the amazing people I’ve collaborated with through Tone Films and Atomic Accounting.
Lunch: Grab a bite at Rodeo Goat (best burgers), then maybe do a podcast taping or content collab.
Evening: Dinner at Monarch—high-end Italian on the 49th floor downtown. Then off to The Tipsy Alchemist or Pockets, a private club where creatives vibe out with good drinks and better conversation.

Day 7: Sunday Slowdown + Worship
Morning: Start the day at Hill City Church in Springfield (if we’re back there) or find a local church like Shoreline City or Upper Room Dallas.
Lunch: Slow lunch at Oddfellows in Bishop Arts.
Walk: Wind down with a final walk and ice cream from Botolino Gelato Artigianale on Greenville Ave.

What Makes Dallas Special
Dallas is a city where big ambition meets authentic community. It’s a place where filmmakers, founders, musicians, and dreamers collide—and that energy is what makes it home for me and Tone Films. Whether you’re building a brand, finding your voice, or just looking for inspiration, there’s no better place to be.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Success is never achieved in isolation; it’s the culmination of support, mentorship, and collaboration from various individuals and experiences. Reflecting on my journey, several key influences stand out:

My Father, John Tone

My father’s role as a pastor instilled in me the values of integrity, perseverance, and service. His unwavering commitment to his congregation and family taught me the importance of leading with purpose and compassion. These principles have been the cornerstone of my ventures, including Tone Films, Atomic Accounting, and Tone Legacy.

Mentors: Bob Beard & Jonathon Baker

Bob Beard and Jonathon Baker have been instrumental in shaping my professional and personal development. Bob’s business acumen and strategic insights have guided me through complex decisions, while Jonathon’s emphasis on spiritual growth has provided a balanced perspective. Their mentorship has been invaluable in navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship.

Influential Literature

Books have the power to transform perspectives. Works like 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey, How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, and Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins have profoundly influenced my approach to leadership, communication, and personal growth.

My Brother, Robert Tone

Robert, who lives with Down syndrome, embodies resilience and joy. His perspective on life has taught me to value authenticity and to approach challenges with a positive mindset. His influence is a constant reminder of the importance of inclusivity and empathy in all endeavors.

Professional Experience: Trump 2020 Marketing Campaign

Working on the Trump 2020 marketing campaign provided me with firsthand experience in high-stakes political communication. Collaborating with senior campaign officials and engaging in strategic discussions with political figures honed my skills in messaging, digital strategy, and rapid response. This experience has been instrumental in enhancing the services offered by Tone Films, particularly in political and corporate communications.
