We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Luongo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my practice is without a doubt my patients. One of the major benefits of private practice is that a majority of the time patients seek us out to make changes so they come to their initial assessment motivated and ready to go!

What should our readers know about your business?
My Nutrition Practice focuses on Medical Based not Media Based Nutrition. Our goal is to help change our patients relationship with food and show them how it changes their health.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start the day with breakfast at Breadwinners, followed by a mani/pedi, then shopping -anywhere! Dallas has so many places to offer as far as shopping and dining we would just drive and shop anywhere and everywhere. We would also visit the Dallas Zoo and Aquarium, the Perot museum and Joe T Garcia’s in Fort worth.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shout out to my husband, Andy Tamayo. He has been supportive from day one when I told him I quit my job and I wanted to open a private practice. At the time we had a 2 year old and a newborn but Andy never tried to talk me into staying in a situation that I wasn’t happy in.
