We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Cruz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had been generating money with my hobby, digital marketing, for several years, but it never crossed my mind that it could become my own business and my main financial income. I started more than 10 years ago when saying that you were a blogger was new, back then the concepts of influencer or content creator didn’t even exist, people didn’t take me seriously. But there came a point when companies and brands began to realize that digital advertising and marketing were gaining strength and reaching unique and specific market niches, where they could have a more intimate impact and approach than with conventional media such as radio and television and that it was also much cheaper, I knew it was time to formalize my business Rollos de Mujeres LLC and put into practice my more than 15 years of experience in media, but above all, my experience listening and connecting with people and creating a community.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Rollos de Mujeres LLC, we are committed to helping our clients create media campaigns that allow them to achieve their goals, whether it is connecting with their target audience, driving website traffic, creating brand awareness, receiving feedback from their audience or generating sales.

My company has more than 15 years of experience creating content for radio, television and digital platforms. We work face to face, primarily with the Latino community, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and have built trust and loyalty with audiences. Our work has received national awards and created long-term relationships with clients, who become members of our extended family.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends were coming to town, I would start things off with a genuine Texas experience in Fort Worth. We would start our morning at the Fort Worth Zoo to see the variety of animals and exhibits, personally, I love visiting to watch the elephants. We’d then make our way over to the stockyards to see some genuine, Texas cowboys, people cruising on their motorcycles and custom cars, and to enjoy the shops and food.

The next day we would start at the Dallas Arboretum. I love how the Dallas Arboretum has something for everyone. First, we’d make our way to the kids area to check out some of the interactive displays. My family loves the maze there, and it’s always fun to get some laughter and excitement going. Then it would be off for a break on their lawn to see a concert or whatever they have featured at the time, followed by exploring the rest of the grounds while snagging some great pictures. In the afternoon, it would be time to visit our favorite barbecue spot in town, Hutchins BBQ.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There have been many people along my path who I have learned from, or who have challenged and pushed me. But mainly my family, they are the ones who have sacrificed the most, the ones who encourage me when I feel like I can’t keep up, or the ones who believe in me even more than I believe in myself. My husband Dustin, my two sons Caleb and Zane, my parents, my in-laws who do not hesitate for a second to help me when I have meetings, events and are often even part of my content and my campaigns. My mentors, Bertha Camacho, was the first person who believed in me 18 years ago when I arrived in the United States, Monica Alonso and Adriana Amaya who opened the doors of the radio industry to me, Miguel Villegas who opened the doors of Television to me , my current cliends Traders Village, El Rio Grande Latin Market and the Texas Outlaws who believe and trust in my work and many more on the way. I am very blessed that I have always met very talented and good people along my path.
