We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Riley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, why did you pursue a creative career?
I started singing, dancing, and playing piano when I was 5 years old. From that moment I knew what I wanted to do. At an early age I had such a love for music and dance, that it was natural for me to move in that direction. Once I started receiving professional training and performing at live events, I realized that my path was already laid out.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel that my ability to perform songs from any genre sets me apart from others. I am really excited about my ability to play multiple instruments which includes piano, guitar, ukulele and kalimba. I am where I am at today due to several years of practice and the support of others. It is not easy but nothing worth having is easy. I have learned that perfection is not possible to achieve so I strive to be the best I can be. I understand that there is always room for improvement. I would like the world to know that I always perform from my heart and I wish to share the gift from God that I have been blessed with.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many wonderful places to visit in the Dallas area. Some of the most exciting places are Six Flags, Escape Rooms, Water Parks, Dave & Buster’s and Medieval Times.

Cool places to hang out and to enjoy amazing food are Grandscape, Legacy West, Stonebriar Centre and The Star District in Frisco.

You are guaranteed to have a great time at any of these places.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all I want to give a shout-out to my parents for always supporting me in everything I do! Shout-out to Austin Chatfield for referring me for this. I also would like to thank my vocal coach WT Greer, Septien Entertainment Group, Mike Manning, Linda Septien, LaLa Johnson, Zakk Manzella, Niaps Spain, Norman Davis, Amy Novak, Jeffery Blalock and to many others who have helped me on my journey.
