We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Cloird and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I began writing poetry for fun at an early age. Later on I decided to write stories; but it was to share my story and help other people! I never initially thought about it becoming a business.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart is not the business I’m growing, but simply who I am. I love people and really care about how I leave you! My purpose is to speak life into others; and if that’s not in person I hope it comes from one of my books. My business Write to Righteousness allows me to be transparent and share the goodness of God even when everything looks blurry or even falling apart.

Operating in my purpose brought me to this point; and I’m not one that runs to the front nor do I like the Spotlight, so it definitely can be challenging at times for me when I am the center of attention. I try my best to think of it as everything is not about me. I could be saving a life! Each day that I get to wake up I get a chance to be better and add to someone else.

One lesson I never forget is everyone will not like or love me- and that’s ok because I’m not for everybody! However, that doesn’t have to stop me from loving them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m such a chill and laid back person. I would first take my bestie to eat upon arrival. There’s a hibachi spot in Prosper,Tx (hana hibachi) that we would go to first! I’m not a drinker, but they also have a bar if my guest wants a drink.

Going forward we would go to the Dallas museum of art, occasionally cook while catching up, go to Andretti for go-karting, venture off to an Escape room, and take a ride to see the beautiful scenery.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to say my children. Things would be good and sometimes they would be challenging, but my 3 adjusted. Change is not always easy for children.
