We had the good fortune of connecting with Allison & Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Allison & Taylor, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Our focus for our company was to have a community of individuals that wants to achieve any goal they’ve set for themselves! We want this community or this collective to rise together and support each other and be empowered and educated to not only reach their goals, but to maintain their goal.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our business, The Crossbreed Collective, is a company Allison and I started to combine our knowledge and experience of nutrition and personal training to continue our true passion of helping others. This was not an easy decision, as most companies are not. It was scary, we didn’t know if we would be successful, and the thought of failure was terrifying. Since our launch our families and friends have been SO supportive in helping to spread the word about our business! We are such a new company but we are improving every week and learning how to better serve our clients. We look forward to every new challenge and see it as opportunity to grow! The Crossbreed Collective is for EVERYONE! There are no exclusions with us! Anyone, any age, any gender, any experience level in the gym, we are here for anyone who has a vision and is ready to commit to it!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since we live right in downtown, we are walking distance away from some of the best spots to eat, drink and hangout! My favorite place to eat is HG Supply Co which is about a half mile walk from my house, the food is amazing, and the walk along the trinity there and back is very relaxing.
The Modern Art Museum close by is so beautiful, and the local zoo is our favorite way to get our steps in on the weekends!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
For both of us, I know we can list hundreds of people that deserve the thanks and the recognition but it truly is the support we have both received since day one from both of our parents that has changed the game for us. Since Allison was young, both of her parents have backed her and supported any endeavor she has been part of. Allison inherited the work ethic, passion and drive she has from her parents. For myself, my parents are the inspiration behind the curtain. They have always supported me and have been there, even when I chose to step away from a sport I thought I might play professionally. My mom reminds me that every moment of your life is for a reason and if it is meant for you, it will be. So to my mom and dad, Sandy and Jeff, and to Allison’s parents, Shaun and Melissa, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for always accepting, motivating, supporting and encouraging us. All three of you believing in us made all the difference in our lives
