We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexus Cooper and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexus, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind creating my own business was creating something that I loved doing and other individuals would love as well…I thought if this when covid first hit and it just kinda came to my mind one day when I was at work sitting behind my desk. I love candles and I’m big on positive speaking and manifesting and wanted to incorporate the two and create a product I know people will love. Soon as the idea came to my head I knew immediately I had to start immediately and research everything to make sure I created the perfect manifestation candle.

What should our readers know about your business?
Celeste Candles. My candles are one of a kind. They aren’t just your ordinary candles. They are manifestation candles. Each candle is infused with herbs and healing crystals to help attract everything you desire in life. We have one for love, peace, happiness, wealth, protection, and wellness. I also make incense, pillow sprays, wax melts and gift sets. I just introduced our men’s line “It’s a Man’s World” these are our masculine scented candles made to uplift men. It took me a lot of time and hard work to get to where I am at in my business. Dedication is one thing I feel like one must have in order to run a successful business. I learned along the way to stay consistent always market yourself even when you feel like nobody is paying attention or feel discouraged.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to go to brunch during the weekends or Bar hop on McKinney Ave when I’m up for a night out. My favorite place to eat is Red Claw in Arlington Texas. They have amazing seafood.

I want to shout out my twin sister Alesia Cooper. She is also a single mother who has her own business. She works very hard and also gives me ideas when it comes to my business.
