We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexus Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexus, what role has risk played in your life or career?

I think risks are always a good thing. I strive to push myself in areas that I am not the most comfortable. I always tell myself it is better to be uncomfortable than it is to be comfortable. Uncomfortableness comes with paths and lessons and I’m still growing. I’ve taken many risk to get this far in my business. In the beginning I feared risks and thought that they equaled failure and I would now say I’m grateful for the way things turned out.

What should our readers know about your business?

Becoming an entrepreneur has not been an easy road to say the least. It has been a rollercoaster filled with highs and lows. In the beginning, the main challenges were consistency and marketing, along with having the confidence in myself that I can run a business. Of course, there was a great deal of doubt and uncertainty, however, I express deep gratitude for my journey. I am so blessed for how far I’ve come. Without a doubt, there will be hard times, but one thing to remain clear is to always keep going.

I would start the week off very light on a Monday where we would have coffee at Cafe Brazil and spend the day at Deep Ellum Art Co and end it off with a nice dinner at Mi Cocina. On Tuesday we would start having some fun and spend the day out in Grandscape in The Colony. Wednesday we’d take the day to visit King Spa for a relaxing experience. Thursday we’d go out for lunch at Gloria’s. Friday we would go out for some fun at Another Round and. Saturday breakfast at the Biscuit Bar and night out at Barcadia Sunday chill out at 77 degrees x

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank God for all the blessings bestowed upon me, my mom, and my spouse for all their continued support. All my customers for trusting me and my dad for inspiring me to be a better person. My book club for teaching me what leader is and allowing me grow and help mentor and support each other.
