We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Sagcal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We believe in the importance of being accountable to our local neighbors, past customers, and their referrals. Essentially, I’m in the “connection” business—networking for sales referrals and helping to build the reputation of our dealership and auto group within the community.

Previously, my connections were based in the areas where I lived, raised my family, and attended church. Today, we continue to grow our business through referrals, by meeting, greeting, and volunteering in the cities where we have influence—specifically Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Coppell, and Addison.

To clarify, I work for Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford Carrollton, part of the Pack Auto Group. Our focus is on strengthening ties within these communities through engagement with local Chambers of Commerce, charitable organizations, and educational institutions such as CFBISD, CISD, and Dallas College.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m proud to be part of Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford Carrollton and the Pack Auto Group as the Employee Relations & Community Publicity Manager. My day-to-day responsibilities focus on employee engagement and HR, while the more exciting part of my role is representing our brand within the communities of Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Coppell, and Addison. I’m fortunate to work for a visionary owner who empowers his leaders, and I’m grateful to my general manager for taking a chance on me. Over the past decade, that trust has led to some meaningful achievements and a few awards along the way.

Our business is in the Automotive Retail market. We have been around for 44 years and we enjoy a unique reputation of long term employees, industry awards, and community awards. The business is competitive and with road conditions to economic ups/downs, there are challenges. Thankfully, our management has weathered and perservered to win industry awards, the Ford Motor Company “Triple Crown” Award 18 times out of 22 years and a multitude of Community/Chamber of Commerce Awards along the way.(BBB Torch Award for Ethics, Large Business of the Year, Community Partners Awards)

As for me:
Please tell us more about your career:
At this stage in my career, it’s not just about the job—it’s about finding joy and purpose in what I do and being fortunate enough to be paid for it. My professional journey began as a Naval Officer, then evolved into nearly 20 years in medical sales (yes, I love sales!), and about a decade ago, I found myself in the automotive industry. What began as a temporary opportunity turned into ten years with an incredible dealership family. The early months were challenging, but over time, this business, the team, and the customers have become a huge part of my life. I’ve grown both professionally and personally, learning to embrace every challenge along the way. As for my present postion as Employee & Community Relations Manager: My role is divided into 60% Employee Relations across our four buildings and 40% Community Engagement and Brand Representation. For me, that 40% feels less like work and more like a personal reward—one that can’t be measured in money, but is deeply fulfilling in ways that go beyond financial gain.

My educational journey started at Jacksonville University, a small private school where I earned a B.S. in Chemistry and was commissioned as a Naval Officer. After serving our nation for four years, I transitioned into medical sales, where I dedicated nearly two decades to self-improvement. I took classes to strengthen my communication skills, connect with others, ask the right questions, and build genuine relationships within my community.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have great mentors who guide and teach along the way. With their support, I been fortunate to achieve milestones like earning spots in the President’s Club and ranking as the #1 salesperson nationally, Community Awards for Leadership for Volunteering. These achievements, along with continuous learning and the influence of those around me, have profoundly shaped who I am, and I’m forever grateful.
How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? Good Mentors, Good Preparation-classes/education/experience, & Good luck,; Was it easy? Absolutely not! I ‘ve never known what life would be without a little “the upward” struggle or challenge. Thankfully through having good advice, better education/training, and a little luck, life has been good.

What Sets Me Apart?
Regardless of my position, I am always open to coaching and value mentorship. My focus isn’t solely on selling products but on building meaningful relationships. I believe in helping people, earning their trust, and creating lasting connections. Success, to me, is built on consistency, hard work, and a commitment to always improving.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am a U.S. Navy veteran and awarded servant leader dedicated to networking for success in business, community, and church groups. Best of all, I am a Proud husband and father. I hope when I leave this earth, someone remembers me for helping them or for how I made them feel special.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
#1 Food- For some excellent local food, we would visit: III Forks, Barrel & Bones Downtown Carrollton, Red Stixx Farmers Branch, Amici/Joe’s Pizza on Broadway or Brothers Pizza in Carrollton
#2 Fun: For active fun, we would work in trips to… Eagle Gun Range Farmers Branch , Texas Lumberjaxe, & Brookhaven Country Club
#3 Outdoors: We’d take a daily Walk around Josey Ranch Lake & a workout at the Gym; and/or drive to Glenrose-Dinosaur Valley State Park and look for million year old dinosaur prints
#4 Event: Ideally, I’d want them to come to town during the State Fair of Texas- Ford Exhibit or 2025 North Texas Auto Expo
#5 Bull – During the visit, we would have to visit ……….the most photographed spot in Dallas, Pioneer Plaza;
