Hi AK, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
I think the biggest thing would be the perception of real estate agents and the industry. TV shows have really glamorized the world of real estate sales. This business is not just showing expensive homes and collecting checks. There’s a lot of tedious work that goes on in the background. Anyone can search and find a home on the internet now. Dealing with the agent on the other side of the transaction, meeting deadlines with inspections, negotiating repairs, making sure the lender is on top of things to close on time, filling out the contracts to make sure it’s benefitting your client….. the list goes on and on. There’s just a ton of stuff that happens during a real estate transaction that outsiders are unaware of.

What should our readers know about your business?
Basically I’m in real estate sales. I help people buy and sell homes. There are over 20,000 real estate agents in the DFW area alone. What sets me apart is the transparency I have with my clients. I don’t care to sell you the most expensive house. I want to help you find home you’ll be creating memories in within a comfortable range of your budget. I treat my clients like family so I’ll tell them things they may not want to hear, but need to hear. A home purchase is the biggest purchase most people make in their lives so being honest during the process is key.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Covid has really changed the way I would normally answer this question. One place I would highly recommend if you want to have an experience and like good burgers is to check out Kelly’s Family Farm Burger Stand. It’s just a food truck on a farm where you order and sit on the benches and eat out side. Phenomenal burgers.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am without the love and support of my family. A career in real estate is a roller coaster ride and I’ve seen my share of ups and downs during my career. If it wasn’t for them understanding of my vision and encouraging me, I wouldn’t be able to achieve the milestones I have hit in my business.
