We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrienne Leigh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrienne, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Everything I do goes back to the main goal of “Does this action bring me closer to or further away from the entrepreneur I strive to be?”

Some tangible habits are:

Creating a good morning routine where I focus on filling my cup before I start my work day.
Showing up online & promoting my business daily.
Collaborating with other local businesses on events & social media posts.
But above all else, staying true to my “why” has helped me succeed!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own The Bush Waxing Boutique & Estipreneurship. The Bush Waxing Boutique is unlike any other waxing business. We’ve combined beautiful spa-like energy with a results-driven waxing studio to create The Bush Waxing Boutique. My brick-and-mortar waxing business is where I hired & trained my first employees, this business has taught me everything I know about running a business. I’ve been thrown challenges, learned lessons & grown so much as a business owner & team leader. I’ve tried new tactics, some have succeeded & some have majorly flopped. I’ve hired, fired, had employees quit, had employees stay. It’s been a rollercoaster, to say the least, but throughout it all, one thing has remained true: I am an entrepreneur at heart & there’s nothing I would rather be doing.

One thing that I love that The Bush has been able to provide me with is new experiences, good, bad & ugly! I truly believe that I was put on Earth to inspire & teach. That’s how Estipreneurship was born. There is such a need for guidance in any industry, but specifically, the beauty industry. Service providers work somewhere for a year or two, become great at providing services, learn & grow, and then decide to go out on their own. Which is great! If you’ve got the entrepreneurial bug, go for it! What most of us don’t realize is that there is a huge difference between being a successful service provider & being a successful entrepreneur.

Through Estipreneurship, I’ve been able to package up my systems, methods, strategies & lessons to help newly independent estheticians get their business started! I love teaching the next generation of estis to take the leap of faith & crush their business dreams out of the park.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh my gosh, I love this question because I LOVE Fort Worth! Where to begin? I mean obviously, we’d visit The Bush! I’d treat them to a self-care extravaganza: wax, lash lift, eyebrow lamination, spray tan, the works! Then we’d stop by a local coffee shop, Avoca or Cherry on Magnolia. We would spend the entire day walking up & down Magnolia Avenue, popping into local restaurants or bars when we get hungry or thirsty. Some great options are Paris Coffee Shop or Brewed for breakfast or lunch & Shaw’s, Pie Tap, Heim or Cane Rosso for dinner. We would also pop into all the local shops on Magnolia, records at Panther City Vinyl, amazing souvenirs at Fort Worth Locals, and cute graphic tees at 817 Vintage Hype.

The next day we’d definitely hit up the Stockyards, a Fort Worth must! There is so much to do over there. Tons of unique restaurants & shops, most of which are small & locally owned businesses which I love to support.

The next day we would head back over to the Southside to hang out on South Main, a street full of unique, locally owned small businesses. There are also such great dining options over on South Main. We could go to Bearded Lady, or Coco Shrimp for lunch, Tinies, Panther City BBQ or Buena Vida for dinner & cap off the night over at The Amber Room or Nickle City, or both!

If the weather permits, we would need to spend some time exploring the Trinity Trails, which wind throughout Fort Worth along the Trinity River.

There’s always something to do in the Fort Worth area, farmer’s markets, local festivals, and fun runs if you think running is fun, lol! I love Fort Worth & I would recommend anyone who wants to visit the DFW area to check out what Fort Worth has to offer!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, absolutely! I have got to thank my Business Mentor, Jen Gottlieb. I met Jen in October & since then my life & career has changed completely in the best possible way. She & her husband own a coaching company, Super Connector Media which has totally changed the way I view business. I am so blessed to be a part of her & Chris’ community. This Shoutout, without a doubt, is dedicated to Jen Gottlieb & the entire Super Connector Media Family.
