Meet Adriana Martinez Grau | Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana Martinez Grau and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adriana, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At Grau Studio, our mission goes beyond creating beautiful interiors: we strive to make a positive impact on people’s lives and our community. A thoughtfully designed space influences well-being, productivity, and emotional balance. By transforming homes and workplaces into functional, welcoming, and inspiring environments, we help individuals and families feel more connected, supported, and at peace in their daily lives.
At the community level, we collaborate with local suppliers and small businesses whenever possible, ensuring that our projects contribute to the local economy.
Ultimately, our goal is to create spaces that tell stories, foster connection, and improve quality of life, while being mindful of our responsibility to the world around us.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Grau Studio was born from the belief that interior design should be more than just making a space look beautiful — it should transform how people feel and live in their homes. What sets us apart is our focus on creating interiors that are not only stylish, but also cozy, functional, and deeply personal. Every design is tailored to reflect our clients’ lifestyle, values, and story, so the result feels like their home, not just a staged space.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the trust our clients place in us. That’s why I’m excited about every project: each one is an opportunity to improve someone’s quality of life through design.
Getting here has not been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced challenges, from starting a business in a competitive industry to building visibility and trust in a new market. But those obstacles taught me resilience. I learned to stay consistent, believe in my vision, and adapt when things didn’t go as planned. Each challenge became a lesson in patience, creativity, and persistence.
The biggest takeaway? Success isn’t instant; it’s built day by day, with passion and perseverance.
What I want the world to know about Grau Studio is that we’re not just designing spaces: we’re creating environments where people can thrive, connect, and feel at home. Our story is one of growth, dedication, and the joy of turning dreams into reality, one room at a time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the vibrant mix of culture, food, and hidden gems that make Dallas so special.
We’d start with a stroll through the Dallas Arts District, exploring the Dallas Museum of Art, followed by lunch at Klyde Warren Park where food trucks are always serving something delicious. For dinner, I’d take them to Mi Cocina for some of the best Tex-Mex in town.
Another day, we’d head to Bishop Arts District — one of my favorite neighborhoods — full of boutiques, coffee shops, and street art. It’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon wandering, then end the evening with cocktails at Paradiso, a cozy bookstore-bar.
Of course, I’d also want them to see Dallas’ skyline. One evening we’d go up to Reunion Tower for panoramic views;
For a design-inspired stop, I’d take them to NorthPark Center — not just for shopping, but to admire its incredible art collection. Then we’d balance it out with a day trip to Fort Worth’s Stockyards for a true Texas experience.
Throughout the week, there would definitely be time to enjoy coffee at La La Land Kind Café, brunch at Sixty Vines, and a dinner at Legacy West. And, of course, we’d squeeze in some relaxing time outdoors at White Rock Lake or the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I firmly believe that success isn’t achieved in isolation, and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received along the way. First and foremost, my family has been my greatest source of encouragement: their love and faith in me gave me the courage to take the leap into entrepreneurship and pursue my passion for design.
I also want to recognize the incredible community of clients who have entrusted me with their homes and businesses. Each project has been a collaboration, and their openness to new ideas has allowed me to grow and take my creativity to the next level.
Finally, I would like to mention one of my mentors, Mary Parra, whose story and knowledge inspired me and gave me the necessary motivation to dedicate myself to the world of interior design.
