Meet Adelston Canady | Personal/Private Chef & Caterer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adelston Canady and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adelston, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Keeping God first is the most important factor for me. I do it to touch souls and be and example of what Christ looks like. I just love to serve people.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart is a unique ability of combining flavors and textures from different cultures and creating art. I’m so passionate at what I do and put so mush love in it that it touches your soul. You know when you have say how it makes you feel or make you want to dance, or take you back to a memory from the past. My motto is “Happy is to Soul when Flavor is the Goal. Being humble, patient, faith, prayer & hard work and sleepless nights has got me to where I am to day with a lot of support from people that God has sent my way. The journey has not been easy for me as nothing in my life has but im resilient as they come and the only way you explain how I overcame my challenges is God being at the Center of my Life. I’ve learned so me lessons along the way from relationships to financial to planning and just learning how to cook what you don’t want to cook but making it just as delicious because I enjoy serving and blessing others with my gift. I want people to know that I do it to really touch there soul and give them a experience that will create life long memory and connection that identifies a serving spirit. That is what Nu Flavor Creations is all about.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So we would definitely hit a lot of different restaurants. I like all types of food so I’m easy so depending on the friend I would take them to places they haven’t experienced. Like Chocolate Secret a beautiful chocolate wine bar with the dopest vibe ever. Then if you like Italian I’ll say go to Nonna. Take them to Southern roots table, S&D’s, Bishop arts district, and a couple steak houses and seafood restaurants like Nicks& Sam’s, Ocean Prime, ect… far as other places like clubs or bars I don’t really go out much so it would be a experience for both of us.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe there has been a few people to help me along my journey in different areas. My Brother Avery has been there for whatever I needed. Guys like Marc, Pete and my late brother in-law was my right hand man in different seasons of my journey. Jullian Barsotti, Matt Bresnan, Ryan Ferguson all played a role of inspiring me and teaching certain techniques. My Grandmother before she past is a big part of why I do what I do. She could turn nothing into something in the kitchen and it was like magic. (That’s what she called it)
